President Bush traveled to New York today to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nassau County 9/11 Memorial in Eisenhower Park, Long Island, being built in memory of the 281 residents of Nassau County who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks, and visited with families of the victims. Before he left, he made a statement to the press regarding the terrorist attack in Madrid, Spain.

He also visited USA Industries, an automotive parts manufacturing company in Bay Shore, New York, and spoke to workers about the economy and jobs training. He then attended a fund raiser with Rudy Giuliani and Governor Pataki.

There are lots of fabulous pictures today, so enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose !!

Please see my post at 281; I didn't want to clunk up your My Comments page with the pics of Washington, but I think you'll really like them.

She had worked for 4 Dem Congressmen and Senators. One was Wyden, Mosley-Braun, some lady form CA and can't remember the other. Although the article said she was a DISTANT cousin of Andy Card, the headline was huge that she was related to Bush WH person. I'm with you--it's sickening the way they report their so called news. If there's anything to report, it's that the Dems hired her and she had access to info she probably shouldn't have. No one can help how their "cousins" turn out. My gosh, most parents these days can't seem to have any control over their children.

Basal cell carcinoma near bone can present a risk if it goes untreated too long.

But it is an option to have it curetted (scraped) and fulgurated (burned in the base of the crater), dressed as for a burn to heal it, and then have your plastic surgery revision when you get home in a couple months.

Mike called a little while ago, he's seen the docs.....They are flying him to Landstuhl, Germany for the surgery and biopsy...they are almost certain it is basal cell...if it is cancer, they are sending him back to Ft. Campbell for further treatment(?) and he cannot return to that environment.....if it is not cancer and they are mistaken, he would head back to his troops in Iraq.......they will not remove it there, they are not set up to do biopsies, as they would have to freeze it and send it away to be analyzed and that could take weeks....so he has no other choice but to go to Germany, which is better in any case.

thanks all for your thoughts and prayers....another bump in the road of life.

Good morning Ms.B!

My computer was very slow last night too. I went to bed early--bad headache. Pretty much better today.

How are you doing? It's supposed to be 60 and sunny here today!

Great pictures tonight, huh?

Have a great day!

He leaves for Germany, Monday night his time..Monday morning, our time....it's better that he does it this way so that it will be taken care of properly...he's distressed that he has to leave his troops and will not be with them on their return after all this time.

So he has a little time to prepare and get a few things done--I'm sure he won't get everything he needs to, done. Will they do the procedure Monday? So is he planning to go back to Iraq after Germany, or just has to wait and see? I'm sure he is upset about not being with his guys and ladies--he's so good to them.

You have mail!

Who knows when the procedure will be done..he could sit there for days before they do it....if there are cancer cells, he will not return to Iraq, he'll head to Fort Campbell, Ky.

***..he could sit there for days before they do it...***

Well THAT'S not very efficient! Guess he has to go when they have a ride for him, huh? So you'll just have to wait once he gets there . . . He'll be doing some fast packing these next few days, won't he . . .

Are you going to see Brandon today? Is the vitamin C keeping you from getting sick?

Well, watching Brandon will help take your mind off things a little, won't it.

You take care, please let me know if you find out anything else. When you talk to Mike please tell him my thoughts and prayers are with him; he might not have time to post here. God's peace to both of you!

Hello, Ohio!

I'm so happy for you that Eric's homecoming is so close! He's in my prayers for a SAFE and FAST trip home! Do you know when he'll set foot in the US yet? Will you hear from him before then, or will he be too busy?
