The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Greens?--now what could be more Irish than that!--except perhaps if you dyed some potatoes green. . .ROFL!
To: Fedora
And for the Kennedys!I didn't forget them. But the Kennedys are just small-time Irish potatoes compared to the klintons. They're just regional, while the klintons are aiming to take their show world-wide, if given the chance.

But I think I succeeded, where you failed!
I approve of spam. But I also approve of other people beating the spammer.

The Clintons definitely have global aspirations. But it also seemed to me earlier in the race like the Kennedys were using Kerry to try to regain the party from the Clintons so they could go global themselves. The Kennedys might be local in themselves, but their Irish mob and union friends have some farflung ties--Bronfman mob, Seagram's, IRA, etc.; and Ted Kennedy's also been supported by Castro's apparatus for a long time. So I'm still trying to figure out exactly where Kerry fits into the Kennedy-Clinton rivalry. I'd be interested in any other thoughts you have on that.
BTW, the check for the knife should be in the mail this week--thanks again for that!

Hi there! Good morning. My birthday is not until a week from tomorrow. But, I celebrate for a couple of weeks AT LEAST every year. Knowing this, PurpleQ arranged a moot party too. Cheryl, Lynn, Jason, Stephanie and their kids and I are fixin' to have a birthday lunch for me here now.
Tomorrow I have a birthday celebration with another friend and another possible one in the evening. :-)
