The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Huh, interesting! Maybe I'll go. Parents are looking for an excuse to get away - they ditch us all the time - but I guess they'd feel guilty about missing my whole 21st birthday - Mom's supposed to be teaching me about wine this summer.
I will say on your behalf that your writing style and Corin's are completely different. And that's possible, but hard, to fake.
Besides you haven't posted nearly as many naked butts as Corin would... sigh, we need him back...

Hmmm... come to think of it: Anybody ever seen Corin and Fedora together at the same time??Uh-oh--I was hoping no one would notice that!--gotta think fast to save my secret identity. . .
Look! Isn't that Superman over there in the distance, Lois?--oh, too late, you missed him, he just flew behind that cloud, but he was there a second ago. And of course I'm here, wearing my mild-mannered glasses, so we couldn't possibly be the same person. . .and now if you'll excuse me, I have to slip into this phone booth and, um, make a phone call. Up, up, and awaaaayyyy. . .!

So Fedora, what do you think about elves?Well, they don't know much about mining, and if you need help destroying an evil ring they probably won't loan you an army, but I'll give 'em one thing: they sure make good cookies!
To: Fedora
Oh dear... maybe you are Corin. Evil person.

(I've written 322 words today. At this rate, I'll be dead before I'm published.)
To: Fedora
Well, that pretty much settles. Corin you ain't. :-)
To: JenB
Nah... not Corin. Corin wouldn't had butts somehow. Keeblers just aren't his style. :-)

yeesh... wouldn't = would've
[sigh]
To: Fedora
Nice try... :-)
To: Fedora
My word... that's hideous. Yuck.

No, I haven't heard of a native critter like that. Tons of pets though...and I have run across people with these pets out in the woods. Chance, my male Dalmatian, almost took down a young woman who was holding a ferret, trying to get the "wild infidel animal" (his view of things). He couldn't believe this young woman was holding this beast that needed killing (by him). He was flabbergasted.
To: Fedora
LOL! Good one.

Ruthy, you gonna be around to watch Kingdom Hospital in a half hour? :)
To: Scott from the Left Coast; HairOfTheDog
Hey Scott! Good to see you...
Say Hair... any chance it was a Mink? There was that Mink farm not so far away that had the PETA "involuntary release of non-native species" problem sometime back... wasn't that nearby?
If it was a Mink... there's an ecological timebomb shaping up. That would mean that a non-native species has learned to survive in the wild.

I'm sure I'll insult someone here by saying so...but I *really* don't see the appeal of ferrets as pets. They look like weasels! And from what I've heard, most of them are never completely tame...you still have to watch out so you don't get bitten.
Cats are ornery at times, but at least they're attractive critters.

Dinner / lunch is almost done, and I went to the store and got Tension Tamer and honey. Two whole boxes! That way I can take one to work for emergency purposes...greedy me.
Hey, it's cheaper than Prozac!
