OK, according to the references, this is the second-highest "year-round" waterfall in the United States. (It's 620 feet high). Yosemite Falls is obviously the first. But I didn't know that there are four perennials between Yosemite and Multnomah.

The water's cold and there are lots of crawdads. It's pretty awesome...

Okay, I'm confused. You post a picture of Multnomah as the second highest perennial waterfall in the US and then say there are 4 others (besides Yosemite) higher?

No, you're not confused, I was confused with the usage of perennial. I mean to use "ephemeral", but "seasonal" probably makes more sense with waterfalls as opposed to springs or wetlands.

Gotcha. I had assumed you meant year-round by perennial, thus my confusion. Some of the seasonal falls in Yosemite - especially Ribbon Falls - are phenomenal. Ribbon Falls is the highest single stage fall in the world...

I couldn't find a good picture of frozen Multnomah Falls on the Web. If you know of one, you can post it here.

I wish I had saved that photo which I saw in the Oregonian newspaper. But even if I'd saved it, I don't know how to post photos in the forum!
