My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Oh no, we're not related.
He was spawned & I was mutated....
or was it the other way around?

How Long Shall I Wait? How can I survive another night such as this?
Memories alive in me,
aloneness that
wuthers about me like
the unforgetting winds
about the tower? Warmth, like any ember,
needs tinder to
ignite the hearth
to leaping fires once more.
The hearth is ash
these many nights
the kindling awaiting
the ember's kiss,
just the kiss,
but a kiss
to bring to life
my heart and hearth again.

Perhaps this can help with all this **&&^^%% cold!
Trike
Bonfire of our Souls
My breath is ragged, surging in and out in time with my racing heart,
our bodies slick with hard-earned sweat, trying to chill the heat we share.
Small spasms rack us, trying to take us further along the path from our start,
wrung out, wiped out, our passions sated by the raging love so rare.
Her heat is like a bonfire that smolders against me, reminding me,
her sweet shuddering draws my arms around her tighter, answering need,
With little urging, her fire will rise and consume me yet again you see,
and I will burn with delight, with her, in the bonfire of our love freed.
I ache for her, reach for her, and she reaches for me, and we burn,
drawn together, fuel for the fire of our souls, ignited by loves heat.
We surrender willingly to the consumption of our energy in turn,
slowly building until we erupt together so wondrously sweet.

Oh boy you will not believe what bentfeather did about 30 minutes ago. I was cleaning out old files from that dreaded Netscape and threw out my Preference File for my cable connection. How damn dumb can one be??
To: Trikebuilder
You done good, I am speechless! LOL WOW Trike what a poem!
To: bentfeather
Well, perhaps having been a degenerate sailor has given me more of an understanding of passion, after all I explored that subject around the world and then some.

The Night Watchman
As I watch from
the walls by night
the ground shining white
crunches underfoot
in my solitude.
I return to the light
and the warmth of
the watchtower
and gaze into
my crystal.
I see far and wide,
they try in vain to hide,
those who I hunt
who see my evil side.
I shuffle off my coat
and I am free to float
about the dance hall
with you in my arms once more.
Spinning, twirling,
senses whirling
in the scent of your hair
so close to your cheek
that I brush with the
stolen kiss I shall keep.

To: Old Sarge
I wait in ivied shadows deep
for my night dancer
to silently creep
to my side
for with him I will glide
into the twilight of night
in his warm arms - dear
I surrender to his charms
and we are taken captive to the night
swirling, dipping, in a wild dance
a night given over to romance.
We forget the shadows of the day
and in the night time shadows play

To: bentfeather
She has arrived!
The light plays upon her
hair and her eyes
as her smile pries
and the gloom will part
from upon my burdened heart!
I fear almost to reach
for my dancer, not
daring to touch this
waking dream,But, touch her I must,
and our hands join
then our arms,
her heart fluttering near mine
and, if she asked me,
I would fly!
Fly, to her, and with her,
mounting the termals of romance
on wings of gossamer joy!
But, for tonight,
I shall fly across the dance hall
with Her, the spinning whirl
be ours tonight,
as I find the center of the universe
in the circle of Her arms.

I loved him in the daylight hours
and in the blackest night
in his arms I would hide
for there, there was no fright
now these many years am I
alone throughout the long cold night
and I light my candles just for him
on those darkest nights
for when I hear his foot steps near
I hold the candle high
for his eyes have faded now
and his step not sure
for where he comes from on
those nights
I dare not say a word
I hold my breath and stand
very still and I know the smell
of him oh so very well
I bow to him and kiss his hand
and look into his eyes
and there I see the two of us
against the deep night skies
we gather near The Dragon Fly
and climb upon his back
he flaps his lovely gossamer wings
in one big might flap
off we are in the air away away
up high
in the cold dark mass of space
my Dragon Fly and I.....

To: bentfeather
What fear have I
of the darkling sky
with the light of your eye
to navigate by?
The flight I make
you and I shall take,
as the wings beat their rhythm in time
with our tremulous hearts.
Your cloak covers us,
as do our arms, and
our bodies' warmth,
but the shivers do not
cease. Why?
Not of the cold, but
of the closeness of each other,
thrilling in our flight, as
our eyes meet close,
my fingers reassure me of your cheek,
and the taste of your stolen kiss
a draught of cordial
on our midnight flight
to love.
To: Old Sarge
Come sit a spell with me
in my back yard this day
for stories long we will tell
of loves that got away
We'll sip cold drinks and sweat
in the heat of day
by night we'll be refreshed and new
by the fallen dew
and in the twilight hours thin
we'll spin our stories grand
of living in fairy land
for you see there well be
just the two of us, you and me...
