My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

If Music Had No Value
If music had no value
We wouldnt jump up and down at our first concert
If music had no value
We wouldnt walk down the street with a tune in our heads
If music had no value
We wouldnt tap our toes with the rhythm
If music had no value
We wouldnt have tears in our eyes when the piano played
If music had no value
We wouldnt dream of singing until we lost our voices
If this wondrous thing never existed, if we never knew what notes were, or a melody, or how smoothly a guitar chord melds with a drum beat
how would we be inspired? To be a part of something greater, all you have to do is slide a CD or record into the player and close your eyes (unless you are driving, in which case Id say that would be a very bad idea). There are so many choices available to us now; all of the genres have started losing their definitions. A song is created every second.
Think about it
if there was no music. How much would be lost? How many emotions, experiences, and strands of memory would never be recorded? How many tears would remain unshed? How many smiles would never surface when the perfect song is heard?

The Music poem is right on target!
Thanks so much Sam!! Coffee and Donuts are great as usual. Poor radu has not been around to scarf up the crumbs for a bit now. Getting kinda crummy in here! LOL

Here's this morning's offering ..
Often rebuked, yet always back returning
Often rebuked, yet always back returning
To those first feelings that were born with me,
And leaving busy chase of wealth and learning
For idle dreams of things which cannot be:
Today, I will not seek the shadowy region;
Its unsustaining vastness waxes drear;
And visions rising, legion after legion,
Bring the unreal world too strangely near.
I'll walk, but not in old heroic traces,
And not in paths of high morality,
And not among the half-distinguished faces,
The clouded forms of long-past history.
I'll walk where my own nature would be leading:
It vexes me to choose another guide:
