BOCA RATON -- Two men got into a fight over a parking spot in the Denny's parking lot at 3249 N. Federal Highway, a police report said.
The fight started about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday when Richard Bohemi, 73, asked Bruce Foster, 80, why he had parked in the last handicap spot, the report said.
Foster, who had a handicap placard, told Bohemi it was none of his business.
According to the report, Bohemi began screaming racial slurs at Foster, who is black, then stuck his cane out the car window and hit the 80-year-old man.

I used to live there, my family still does and I know that Denny's well. It's easy to picture something like that happening. There are *all* kinds that migrate to that part of FL!

Yeah, I used to spend a lot of time in Pompano/Ft. Lauderdale and have a general idea of where that is.

Too funny. Reminds me of when I worked in the nursing home. Two roomies (both with alzheimers, one that had been run over by a truck pulling a boat -- I kid you not) decided to fight one night. One was armed with a crutch, the other a cane. Two nurses were injured.
Happened on a night with a full moon. That place was always a nuthouse about that time.

I'm sorry...
Thank you for the welcome.
This is a huge problem and I want people to know that there is an option to the big confrontation. Simply leave a bumper sticker on the car and it spells out in simple words, "This person is NOT HANDICAPPED... JUST LAZY!".
The person will feel better and not get into a big fight. Also it becomes a trigger for the police to check up on this person!
