I do disagree with the "cheaters" opinion. I would maintain that "bail" in this case simply means "get the water out." Chapera did the same thing I would have done. They played smarter.
Another opinion offered was that Probst said flip the boat then bail - flipping the boat out of water made the second part unnecessary.

Well, just crap. I meant to say "do NOT agree." BTW, that other opinion really does work.

"something to shake it up"
SEX!!! No, I didn't say that. Besides, that's a dangerous option with Hatch still in the mix.
To: Lee'sGhost
The teasers for next week say that Hatch is attacked by a shark... maybe he shouldn't be wigglin' that bait around like that.
To: Lee'sGhost
The long and short is that the action by the Chapera tribe made the task different from the instructions and the implied intention of the instructions. How different would have been the first challenge had one of the tribes hacked the ties that held down the roof of the crawl and passed it over themselves and the fire raft?
Well, in that example, probably none, since Soboga likely wouldn't have done such a thing.
I would have preferred that Probst had said something; either praising the Chaperas for thinking outside the box, or chiding them for it, or penalizing them. Because Chapera and Mogo Mogo will likely be considering how else to modify the rules to their advantage for future contests which puts them at a high advantage against Soboga.

The Survivor castaway's interviews from this morning's Early Show are now up on the CBS Early Show's website. In addition, for the second week in a row, the Survivor Insider feature is open on the CBS.com Survivor website. This week's features include the day after interview with the castaway voted off the island, video of the immunity challenge and reward challenge as well as the tribal council vote. There are also other featurettes (Hatch interview, Chapera finds lemons, Colby, etc.)
Well worth the effort, especially if you have a broadband connection.
Survivor plays in many different time zones, and there are fans from many parts of the country on this list. My philosophy is that if you don't want to have the show 'spoiled', don't go to the thread until after the show plays in your time zone (or you've watched it in Tivo, etc.)
I plan on making two pings per episode; the first ping before the show, the second the next morning. Comments and suggestions are encouraged.

I appreciate you stepping up to bat on this. Sometimes I forget and need someone to remind me. I almost didn't watch last night, thinking it would be a rerun.

Thanks for keeping the thread going everyone. I didn't get to see last night's episode until now. Bummed that Rudy went. I think obnoxious Jenna would have been a better choice, Rudy was stronger than either of the 2 women. If Rupert wanted to he could have went to Ethan and made a 3way deal with Rudy to vote out Jenna.
I don't know why everyone was afraid to break open the trunk. Remember Rupert stealing stuff in the last Survivor in keeping with the pirate location?? Plus they could've opened the trunk up from the bottom and not even touched the locks.
I also bet there is more in there than just rice.
With Rudy out I am kind of hoping they do a 4th losers tribe of people voted off like they did in the last one. Maybe it would give Rudy one more chance.
It will be interesting to see when they do a merge. There are still way too many of them to do it but if Rupert's tribe shrinks any more they will have to do something. See you next week.

One thing you may not know is that Rudy twisted his ankle/foot and was having a hard time walking much less running if the challenge called for it. I liked Rudy to but the truth of the matter is that he was the weak link this time. By the way Rupert voted for Ethan, he refused to vote against the pact he made with Rudy.

I did know that Rudy had hurt his foot. He said at tribal council it was getting better. I would've kept Rudy no matter what. I'm starting to think the winner will not be one of our favorites but one of the irritating losers from the past.

My guess, tonite Jenna gets it (don't ask which Jenna).

My guess, tonite Jenna gets it (don't ask which Jenna). Either one would be fine. I had forgotten how much these people annoy me.

Didn't she already win once? If my mom was sick it would take a crowbar to pry me from her side.
