My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Contentment Looked Blue
Contentment looked blue
hope is rainbow clouds
soft sky motion
and love found
is something of value

I told you I loved you
and you laughed
why I don't know
maybe cause you
can't handle it
and that's your
way of dealing with
things you don't
understand
or you have the
shield of protection
up so no one can
hurt you
I don't want to hurt you
just to love you...
your five o'clock shadow
your need to read
your smile
I miss most of all
I love you to the
narrow marrow
of my bones and hurt
that deeply when
you are all those
miles away from me
Oh yes, my nights
are tear soaked pillows
red eyes and sadness
etched on my face
my blue glacier eyes
are cold to flirting
with others in light
but I will fly by and
wink a quick one
in your direction
and toss my head
for attention
and bleed my heart
most days in light
rack my brain
to remember if
I ever heard you
say I love you
to me....
no you did not
and that is the biggest
hurt you left me with

Open the door of thy heart
And open thy chamber door,
And my kisses shall teach thy lips
The love that shall fade no more
This is a nice find Darkchylde.

Paint it all that I may see the entire painting
and longingly
burn in the crucible of loves trying fire...
You go girl! LOL.
We'll have to rename the place the Dragon Flies Sauna!

There are many things
that I don't understand
Like how one can smile
while the world goes mad
I may not be easy to love
with my cares hidden inside
There's a difference it seems
in the way you and I view me
You may see the careworn hat
and the weather beaten coat
It's the outside that is seen
and that's not what I see of me
I see my world from this side
from behind the plastic panes
that help me see the world
I see the things inside my head
in this chaotic unsettling place
I see the me that goes unseen
and see my face in darkest dream
I may not understand too much
it's true you know
But what I do understand is this
I also can see you the same as me.
And I see you smiling bright as you can
Smiling as the whole world goes mad
There are many things
that I don't understand
But that matters not to me
As long as I can call you friend

It's in a book I have called "Love is a Poem".
There are other wonderful poems in it as well.
Agro-Dolce
By James Russell Lowell
One kiss from all others prevents me,
And sets my pulses astir,
And burns on my lips and torments me:
'Tis the kiss that I fain would give her.
One kiss for all others requites me,
Although it is never to be,
And sweetens my dreams and invites me:
'Tis the kiss that she dare not give me.

Very Nice Darksheare.
To: bentfeather
Not exactly how I wanted it, but it didn't look or flow right as originally wriiten.
Still doesn't flow good enough as written, but with the 500 pound monster stomping ruin inside my head still, I guess that's as close as I'll get it for now.
[translation: Thank you. I guess it'll stay.]

It's good Darksheare.
You worry too much about flow. Ramble on, that's how I do it.

She just hasn't heard me complain.
Even my posts have to be a certain
length, don't they? If what I'm writing
(poem or otherwise)is short, it looks
unfinished to me & I'll spend hours trying
to make it look right to me. There is one
poem I've written that is rather short. It
looks wrong to me, but when I show it to
my brother, he says it looks fine. It doesn't
even have a name 'cause I'm not happy with
it, though I can't think of more to write.
The mourning dove mourns my love,
for my love has gone away.
Lonliness unfurled,
I've colored my world in hues of blue & gray.
Silenced cries, despairing sighs,
I long for a brighter day...
It just LOOKS too short.

True, your posts have to be a certain length, and be of some relevance or tie in to the current discussion.
As well as you having to feel that it fits in there like a tetris puzzle piece.
*chuckle*
Yes, there's giggles going on.
Sis is more picky than I about how stuff looks, reads, flows, and feels.
(She'll kill me for this, but she wrote something, read it afterward and said, "It's too morbid!")

Well surprise Colonel, that was not the poem! That was another one I have never posted. (Pretty sure anyway) Sounds like you have quite a library. Someday I may decide to save some of mine. Good for you!
