AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1055) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 11, 2003 | All of Us

Posted on 12/11/2003 4:19:05 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Sad, but true, the United States Supreme Court upheld the Campaign Finance Act of 2001 (somehow, it seems, raising money falls under the "conduct of elections" that is under the auspices of Congress). Regarding the 2004 race, Republicans have been taking a lot of time building up their coffers early, so analysts believe for this race, the fund-raising aspects of the law will likely not hurt the GOP. That said, the speech limitation aspects give the Criminal Party a huge advantage going into the last two months of the campaign as the only non-muzzled element, or so it seems, is the media. And polling data shows about 90% of the members of that "esteemed" organization are members or relate to the Criminal Party...

Over 4,000 people took to the streets in Baghdad in a grass-roots demonstration against terrorism.

President Bush's advisors begin focusing on a race next year against Howard Dean.

The United States has stated that priority in Iraqi contracts will go to firms that belong to countries that aided the war effort. The European Union is steamed. The latter says it will protest, if the United States actually goes through with what it says, to the World Trade Court.

Finally, in an article carried by the AP, it turns out that human beings have not been responsible for global warming in the 20th and 21st centuries. Or, at least, it is not limited to that. No, our global crime, it turns out, is far more serious than that. A professor emeritus at the University of Virginia, wrote an article that will appear in December's Climatic Change, that claims humans have been responsible for global warming since the dawn of agriculture some 8,000 years ago. The moment we began clearing forests to plant crops, claims the professor, humans began altering the environment and caused carbon dioxide levels to increase. The professor did not explain, however, how there would come to be forests in Iraq, the birthplace of agriculture, which does not carry enough water for large stands of trees. Maybe, one might guess, he presumes all the trees have been cut down?

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I am so sorry about the fatality, it takes me back many years ago when my best friend died in a train accident, we were singing an old hymn. "We'll understand it all by and by" That hymn always comes to mind when I lose a loved one. Prayers sent for you, the church secretary and family

I just spoke to my daughter. The police took her statement too. It is important because there were other kids in the car, which the story doesn't say. I believe that she took the other kids home before telling her parents.

Hi Dolly,

I just saw that ad which you linked here which is for that Kucinich fellow. I cannot tell you how much it bothers me to think about these brave Troops who have been wounded, and died fighting in this war. It has been very unsettling for me. I have had to deal with a lot of personal stress concerning World events, particularly since 9-11.

I have never really paid a lot of attention, to Kucinich before. Frankly, I do not have a lot of interest in anything that Democrats or Liberals have to say about much at all. That Party was hijacked long ago by subversives who have trampled on our American Constitution in order to impose upon us all a system of Social and Cultural Marxism. That political formula, has long been established to be a dismal failure in every case. Only tyrannical despots are able to keep such political systems thriving. They use the blood of patriots, and the fear of the masses, everywhere that they have domain. It will ever be so.

I am so incredibly appalled that this politician would use the images, and statistics concerning casualties in order to enhance his ridiculous attempt at becoming President. I very seriously resent that he would stoop so low such that he would resort to using such emotionally charged information and graphics. It is one of the lowest things that I have ever seen in a political ad.

Those fallen have families, and others who are still to this day, and long from now, will have to live with the anguish of losing these heros. I simply cannot comprehend the utter shamelessness of the ad.

I would not ever suggest that Bush is a perfect man. Noone would do such a thing, including the man himself. Bush, is the leader of our Nation, and we are literally in a War. That War is not an opportunity for the enrichment of big businesses despite what the liberal propaganda artists would have the sheep believe.

The exploitation of those heros and their sacrifice is an outrage. I know that if it were my son who was in one of those caskets, I would not want the Media to be there with cameras and microphones, asking me such poignant questions such as about how I feel. I have been a witness to shows of such media concern. Professional journalists, are every bit as cold blooded as any tyrant or dictator if they smell an opportunity to get a cheap by-line.

Incidentally, I had a brother who was ruthlessly murdered some years ago. Media people would call me, and tell me that they were friends of his, or other such lies, in order to get me to talk with them. They are sometimes among the most vile sort of critters that you could ever imagine.

The politicians who would use this sort of tactic in a campaign are among the most disgusting sort of person that I could ever conjure up in the darkest nightmare. Of course they are sinister, they are Democrats. It is so incredibly macabre, that I am seething here as I still reflect on what I just viewed. How revolting the notion of Bush sending our Troops into harms way because some Company has made secret agreements with the Administration to help rebuild Iraq, for great profit, truly is.

I suppose that Kucinich would let French Corporations have business deals in order to prove that we are still part of the "team." My God, a man like this must be part French himself. He has clearly surrendered any sort of decency or integrity that he might ever have held.

I am overcome with almost an urge to retch, because of that production.

yes, I agree. The ad is very powerful.. it makes links that aren't true (blood for $ mentality). I truly believe HE believes this. That is the really scary part.

Rush was addressing the rebuilding contracts & had a few libs call with the Dick Chen/Halib etc connection... Rush did a good job of addressing it but sure it didn't change the man's mind or any other libs mind.

I am sorry about your brother.. I know we have discussed this via email & I feel badly for you because so many things will make that pain like new again.

About 20 years ago I lived across the street from Fairfax High School on Little River Turnpike... that's about as close to "between the Beltway and Fairfax City" as could be described.

That's about how far from the Beltway we are, but closer to Braddock Road. We've been in Fairfax for about 15 years, these older neighborhoods haven't changed much, but you'd be amazed how much has changed further west.

#54...Her nightmare may have just begun, but you can be asssured her parents realize the full extent of this and will pay accordingly.

Almost 7 years ago, my son thought he had the right of way, and pulled out in front of a BIG Chevy truck...

..the truck hit him, totaling our car.

My son was a hairsbreath away from being struck on the drivers side....

..the man claimed injury, but we think not....he was on his cell phone to the lawyer when my sil (who was behind my son) got to his truck to see if he was OK.

OUR insurance company maxed out saving our hide....

...the guy in the truck got thousands ....(he already lived in an ultra-megabucks community with homes in the 300,000 dollar range)....

I truly think he was not hurt.....he actually hit our car with son in it.

But he got the bucks bigtime.

I can only imagine what this will cost those parents....as there is actual and tremendous injury...(& who can blame the injured couple if they did sue!!)

Aliens Cause Global Warming - Despite the humorous title, this is a real article (By Michael Crichton).

Robert Bartley died yesterday.

Kerry Seeks Block of NRA Channel - This adds an exclamation mark onto Scalias dissent on the CFR case.

Humans' 10,000-Year Warming Habit - Where humans are being blamed at the American Geophysical Union of disrupting the environment by stabalizing temperatures for the last 10,000 years.

The paper this morning says the husband is in critical condition with head injuries. The wife is in serious condition.

The driver of the car was found last night....a teen age girl who told her mother she "thought she had hit something." The mother called police.

"Thought" she had hit something? A large sign and two people! Heavens!

Driving with teenagers in the town is more dangerous than being a soldier in Iraq.

I don’t know much about Kucinich, but he’s on the mark with this statement.

Claiming the occupation of Iraq is just a get-rich-quick-scheme for friends of Bush? You've got to be kidding.

I wound up working the evening job because Kel called in with the flu. So, on the ride home, I listen to NPR to see what the other side is saying. I think I heard that the terrorist suspect in Germany was freed by the German judge based on evidence from a closed session. I don't get it. The charges still are pending, according to the story, but they let the accessory to murder go? WTF? Did I lose my mind somewhere between the golf-course and home?
