But I don't know if that's the disease or merely a symptom.
Seem to be all the rage, also quite dangerous.
Hey, Joe ! Happy Saturday ! ...[This landed in my FR Inbox this a.m. The name just happens to be the same, Joe!] ...
Joe decides to take his boss Phil to play 9 holes on their lunch. While both men are playing excellent they are often held up by two women in front of them moving at a very slow pace. Joe offers to talk to the women and see if they can speed it up a bit. He gets about half of the way there stops and jogs back.
His boss asks what the problem is. "Well one of those women is my wife and the other my mistress," complained Joe. Phil just shook his head at Joe and started toward the women determined to finish his round of golf. Preparing to ask the ladies to speed up their game, he too stopped short and turned around.
Joe asked "what's wrong?" It's a small, small world Joe, and you're fired."
hehe ! Checkin' out his pot belly after being fattened up for Thanksgiving, I think! :O)
maybe sometime after the sanding and painting is done in my kitchen.........................And in my family room and living room and dining room and the 2 bedrooms. And of course after that the attic will have to be finished.
I'm guessing probably sometime after about the year 2010....how's that????
Eastbound, I am so depressed about this Maine Mess that I had to sign-off last night.

Patience, never falter, never fail in doing what's right. If the country fails, it won't be because we didn't try to stop it. As I mentioned, too many fronts to battle on, not enough time. It remains to be seen if there are enough in the trenches to turn the tide. Personally, I think we're going to recover. But not unless we stay involved.
So toss me a piece of that turkey and have another piece of that wrinkled punkin' pie. We need all the calories we can get. :)
I am conVINCED there are workings going on in the underbelly of America, and my gut tells me it's already too late.
When a man on Fox News tells us that we need to learn ARABIC I almost fell off my chair. They all can kiss my arse!
When immigrants come to this Country, they need to learn ENGLISH! When we spent 5 years in Germany, all the younger Germans could speak English but refused. WE were a guest in THEIR Country, so WE needed to learn Deutch!
Americans have become too placid. Now I fear that short of a Civil War in this Country, we might all be doomed.
We vote the lawmakers in, and once in office, do you think they give a rats patoot about us? You know the answer!
And already Maine is being called Little Somalia, and MN as well............
It's sad, it's depressing and it makes me furious! Why oh why did Americans let this happen? Have we all become a nation of SHEEP?
LOL, being a smoker and 69, I won't be around by then, if I am, I will have overstayed my welcome in this old world by about 15 years, on the other hand, I am stubborn enough to do just that.
When we moved to northern Maine in 1983 for Loring Air Force Base, we had a Republican Governor. Governor Brennan. Then, Kernan, Olympia Snow's hubby, was voted in. He served one term. Then came good old Guv King..........Independent. He served 8 years. He took the budget lower then low.
This past election, Guv Baldacci was elected. A DemocRAT.
Maine is run by liberals through and through. And none of them want to see Maine get ahead. We have lost more big businesses then I can even mention here.
They have imposed higher cigarette taxes in order to balance their budget, but when Maine smokers found alternate ways to buy cigarettes and not pay into Maine coffers, this pissed off the Maine lawmakers. So in 1999, they imposed a smoking ban on all the restaurants. Many of them have since folded.
Now, they are passing this total LEVEL PLAYING FIELD in January forcing ALL taverns/bars/sports bars and I believe Bingo halls to go smoke free.
I often wonder why they don't have the balls to just ban tobacco and just pull it off the shelves! I bet THAT would get the peoples attention in this state!
Too many Mainers consider our lawmakers little Gods, and just sit on their hands doing nothing to fight them. Which makes the believers all SHEEPLE.
Mad? You bet I am!
HERE'S what I wish we could do with ALL of them, like they did in California with old DAVIS!
