Yesterday, Thanksgiving day we lost my father. He died of a massive heart attack right after Thanksgiving dinner.
My wife, (vic3o3) and I were there to preform CPR until the EMT's arrived. They were unable to stabilize him and lost him on the way to the hospital.
At first I was asking God why he was throwing these curve balls at me but I realized that it was a gift that he has given me. The chance to see him one last time as I knew him. Whole, hearty and full of life.
He will be missed.
Thanks for your prayers.
Dave

Dear Father,
Please bring strength and understanding to this family as they grieve the loss of someone very close to them. We ask that they find comfort in the fact that Dave's father is in no pain and in Your loving arms for all of eternity. We ask these things in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Sincere condolences for the loss of your father, Dave.

Oh Dave.. what a sad day for your family. My prayers will be with you all for strength and peace as you go thru these difficult days ahead.
All our days are numbered but it is very difficult when someone we love has their number called.
Please lean on God for your strength and your memory bank that you had a day you were in a relationship with - as you know , not all have that.
God Bless you & yours.
Thanks for ping Neets...

The chance to see him one last time as I knew him. Whole, hearty and full of life. ....I am so glad you recognized this, the same thing happened to me with my mother.
After two years separation, we were fortunate to have three wonderful day's together, where see met my first child.
She died of a blood clot in the brain the next day at the young age of 49.
When I missed her most, the wonderful memories from those three days helped calm me and made me realize she will never be far from me.
....God be with you and your family.
