14 percentage-point decline post election for JD Vance 2028 Presidential Prospect
Per CNN Screenshots. | 11.4.26

Posted on 11/04/2026 11:43:41 PM PST by Words Matter

The CNN segment appears to argue that the 2026 midterm election results represent a significant political setback for Donald Trump and could reshape the Republican Party's future.

Two statistics are presented to support this argument:

+2,400% Reported Google search increase for the 2028 election

31% JD Vance's reported current 2028 GOP nomination odds

2. The Google Search Surge

The first graphic claims that Google searches relating to the 2028 presidential election increased by 2,400% compared with the previous week.

What this could indicate

3. JD Vance's 2028 Presidential Prospects

The second graphic shows a decline in JD Vance's prediction-market odds of becoming the 2028 Republican presidential nominee.

One month earlier 45%
Current figure shown 31%

His efforts to distance himself from the war does not matter

Like it or not, the Trump Administration and ALL of its members now have the stink of loser all over them. Vance is no exception

Peter Thiel will soon loose the legal and political cover Vance has provided, and there will certainly be deep investigations into his financial support and influence over Vance.

It’s reasonable to expect Democrats to do the same thing we’d do in a similar situation, so public investigations will be used to deal with the level of influence people like Thiel, Musk, and others at that level have exerted over the Trump administration and even the Republican party. This is 1974 all over again, and we’ll be lucky if the Republican party survives this time.

Vance mostly seems like a Bush League republican anyways.

We don’t need any more of them Bushes and Roves.

Vance lost my vote with his prompt betrayal of the President. Should the war resume, will he immediately criticize it? Seems to me he’s obligated. The jihads love to see this weakness.

My support of Vance has slipped. His positions on the Iran War and Israel are bothersome. I am hoping for Rubio to run and i would also welcome Gv. Desantis as a candidate.

CNN’s propaganda does not comport with history.

What you need to know is that President Trump will continue to execute his policies,

Victor Davis Hanson says it well:

The Trump era will continue unabated.

Conservatives need to, seriously and successfully, create a brand new political party. The sooner the entire Republican Party dies, the better for a new conservative renewal. This is assuming that conservatives and America are still around, a few years from now. It’s possible that we are all witnessing the eventual end of, both, The Republican Party and Conservatism. I can’t stand it when too many people are stuck on optimism, even after this MESS happened. Make all of your optimism into actual actions, or stop wasting everybody’s time! Do all of the necessary changes NOW while you, still, can! Actions will, always, speak louder than words!

There wouldn’t be enough energy and bandwidth in the U.S. power grid to support the social media meltdown that Trump would have had if anyone else had been in the White House and made the decisions HE has made over the last eight months.

“ The second graphic shows a decline in JD Vance’s prediction-market odds”

A current decline is a prediction 2 years into the future?

JD Vance is the man for president in 2028 and 2032.

Yeah....I couldn't disagree with this more. Given the amount of investment poured into the US to build factories, power plants, data centers, etc etc, the US Economy should be in pretty good shape in 2 years. Its already growing pretty strongly as a lot of that stuff is being built now. 2 years from now, the Iran war - which Vance was against anyway - will be over and oil prices will be much lower.

Meanwhile, the public will have seen 2 years of Democrats going too far, trying to push socialism, transing the kids, economy killing Gaia worship, open borders, showing their deep hatred of Jews, Men, The Free Market, the West, America maybe even White women....certainly the ones who marry White guys and have kids with them, etc etc. The public will have seen Trump's vetos of their crazy legislation being the only thing saving them from it.....and they will vote for Vance in 2028.

The pundits who act like everything will be the same in the next cycle, like the current trend is permanent or like there isn't a pendulum effect in politics are idiots. The pendulum will swing back the other way. It almost always does.

Agree,
DeSantis is my candidate.
He has the winning touch and it is not associated with Trump, even being trashed by Trump in primaries.
He, somehow, turned pink Florida into Republican bastion.
By far the best Republican politician in our time.

And we need winners, not sore looser’s!
