A male suspect who broke into a Georgia apartment and launched a vicious assault on a young girl while she was babysitting has been identified as an illegal alien from Mexico.
The horrifying incident unfolded in Gainesville just before 10 p.m. on Aug. 5 but the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) just released the assailant’s immigration background.
The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) was alerted about a possible domestic disturbance at an apartment complex where witnesses said they saw a man dragging a female and hitting her repeatedly.
Responding officers encountered an active assault when they arrived and quickly apprehended 29-year-old Obed Reyes.
Officers determined Reyes had broken into the victim’s apartment by smashing through a closet wall from an adjoining apartment.
“The victim, a 15-year-old female, was home with her 5-year-old and 7-year-old family members when Reyes violently made entry into the residence after breaking a hole in the wall between the apartments. Reyes allegedly grabbed her by the hair and started to punch her multiple times,” GPD explained in a press release.
The girl fought back, managing to escape to a breezeway and call for help as the assault continued.
Reyes reportedly threatened to rape the teen as he beat her, GPD says.
Reyes was charged with burglary, aggravated assault, attempted rape, kidnapping, and two counts of cruelty to children.
“On August 5, ICE lodged a detainer for Obed Reyes, an illegal alien from Mexico, with the Hall County Jail in Gainesville, Georgia,” DHS told Border Hawk in a statement.
“ICE is targeting criminal illegal aliens including murderers, rapists, criminals, gang members and more. 70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S.”
Authorities say Reyes lived at the apartment complex where the attack occurred but that he and the victim did not know each other.

So glad this young girl had it in her to fight back and escape. She was probably motivated to protect, not just herself, but the innocent 7 and 5 year old children, who will hopefully forget what they saw, what they heard that night.
Ah, those wonderful Central American customs!

INDEED! A 9mm dose at minimum. A .357, .45, or even 10mm dose would do quite nicely.
Mixed thoughts on how this will be handled. Will he be immediately deported or first face trial and serve time in Georgia? If the former, he is getting away with his crimes.
Biden and Mayorkas are accessory’s to this crime.
