New York's Democratic Socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s push to determine whether city lawyers can act on the International Criminal Court’s warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has turned a symbolic arrest question into a larger experiment: whether a mayor can use City Hall as a parallel arena for foreign policy.
Mamdani, responding to questions about Netanyahu’s possible trip to New York for September’s United Nations General Assembly, said the Israeli leader “belongs in The Hague” and called him a “war criminal” over the ICC case.
But the significance of a significant move extends beyond Netanyahu. Mamdani is repurposing the very institutions that make New York a global city—the police coordination surrounding the United Nations, the Mayor’s Office for International Affairs, diplomatic protocol, immigrant outreach and the city’s international networks—toward a more confrontational role in global politics.
City Hall is not a foreign ministry and a mayor does not set U.S. foreign policy, but Mamdani is testing whether New York’s municipal power can function as a counterweight to Washington’s diplomatic approach, turning local government into a new battleground over international law, Gaza politics and the Democratic Party’s divisions over Israel.

I guess Anna Rahmanan may be Sunni, bht didn’t subscribe to read the whole thing.
Mental masturbation.
New York’s Democratic Socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s push to determine whether city lawyers can act on the International Criminal Court’s warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has turned a symbolic arrest question into a larger experiment: whether a mayor can use City Hall as a parallel arena for foreign policy.
No he’s not
and America isn’t part of the ICC anyways.
Much easier to virtue signal over this than to actually address and try to solve any of NYC’s issues.
Mamdani is the latest in a long long line of posers who think rhetoric is the same as actually accomplishing something. But those idiots elected him….
“Democratic Socialist”
This is an oxymoron, it doesn’t exist. Guess it’s time to whip up a couple of graphics as it has become a lexicon made popular by the MSM.
That ManDamni is a traitor and needs to be at the very least, Gitmo’d.
We need to proceed as if the system were completely broken, because it is.
When ex-Prez Jimmy Carter and other meddled in foreign affairs and made various foreign aides get the impression deals with him against the real sitting President would be valid, it was an example of someone getting away with treason.
Gavin Newsom and others want footage of foreign trips to show in TV ads later. Mamdani wants to unite fellow comrades to replace US Christianity and Judaism with enforced Islam and to replace our freedom with Communist rule. That isn’t an acceptable mission.
.
Well, it’s illegal, but I don’t suppose that will discourage him, or Newsweak.
I wish we could hire a certain group from a small country in the Middle East to give Man-dummy a blanket party.
Mamdani is in the FA phase of FAFO.
That’s where the seat of the federal government will be. Red Square.
How the hell is this guy allowed to stay in the country let alone run NY city? He hates this country. He wants to bring it down from within. He’s Muslim and he’s a communist. He should be in Guantanamo bay.
That’s true.
Preferably when he least expects it.
Let’s just strip him of his citizenship and deport him then.
I’m pretty sure that a political party dedicated and devoted to overthrow the United States government has been illegal since 1865.
Political parties that advocate overthrow of our Constitutional Representative Republican Government are illegal.
That’s Sedition and Treason.
The democrat party, democrat socialists, communist party, are all in on destruction of the United States. Why?
Why can’t we stop them? How can we stop them?
