It has been more than four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. And although polls show that a majority of Americans support Ukraine, military and financial assistance to bolster its defensive and offensive capabilities have fallen dramatically.
This is in no small part due to President Trump’s and Vice President JD Vance’s open antipathy toward President Volodymyr Zelensky, which has led to the blatant slow walking of implementing support already appropriated by Congress.
As co-founder of a humanitarian organization, I have traveled frequently to Ukraine and seen the devastation caused by Russia’s relentless attacks on non-combatant civilians, including children. And I have spoken to experts in Ukraine and here who emphasized the strategic and humanitarian rationale for supporting Ukraine. It is about democracy, deterrence, America’s security and our shared humanity.
Four principles are at stake — and together they make a compelling case for sustained U.S. support.
First, Ukraine’s fight for democracy helps secure America’s democracy. Russia’s invasion was never simply a border dispute. Vladimir Putin made clear from the outset that Ukraine’s independence, democratic aspirations and westward alignment were intolerable to Moscow. This war is about crushing a sovereign democracy in Europe and replacing it with subjugation to authoritarian power.

grifters are going to grift, this conflict started in 2014 with the CIA backed color revolution under Obama via Victoria Nuland, not back in 2022
BOOM! And there's yer answer.
No, it if anything started in 2012 back during Obama’s hot mike incident where he assured Putin’s secretary that he’ll provide for the latter as soon as he’s gotten through the election. Let’s not forget, Obama’s shutting down of Poland’s nukes is what emboldened Putin to invade Crimea.
“We want money!”
Just NO! But when did we peasants have a say?
“It is about democracy, deterrence, America’s security and our shared humanity.” The US is a Constitutional Republic Zel.
“ Why US support for Ukraine must continue”
Screw that.
How many mansions have been sold by Zelensky to help support his war?
Irwin Redlener recommended Elian Gonzales be returned to Cuba.
The US cabal with the C-A, featuring one H. Biden as the bagboy seems to still be operant...i dont understand what they want out of this situation. It almost seems as if they are now working for Putin. I just don’t get the point anymore, of this whole game. I still wish our president would cut them all off at the knees and get us out of this dirtpile. Who is feeding the midget now that USAID is cut off? Where is the grift coming from these days? Have we captured a cartel nobody told us about, to supply all the cash for these subtle activities?
In April 2000, Dr. Irwin Redlener—a pediatrician serving as an unpaid adviser to the U.S. government—recommended that Elián González be immediately removed from his Miami relatives and reunited with his father. He concluded that the boy was in a "destructive ambiance" and experiencing severe psychological abuse. The guy is a pediatrician whose international roles put him in regular contact with the CIA.
Sure, Jan.
“As co-founder of a humanitarian organization, I have traveled frequently to Ukraine and seen the devastation caused by Russia’s relentless attacks on non-combatant civilians, including children…”
_______
Oh, so probably a USAID grifter.
Support with more borrowings and keep raising the national debt? Have heard of any superpower in history remain superpower with excessive debt?
No.
