Our military campaign against Iran has been a great success, whether or not it leads to the downfall of the mullahs’ regime. We have badly degraded Iran’s ability to threaten us or our allies, and some changes will be permanent. Thus, for example:

‼️PRIME MINISTER NETANYAHU SIGNALS DIRECT COOPERATION WITH SAUDI ARABIA AND OTHER GULF STATES
Netanyahu: Post-war plans include energy and economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia, including pipelines to bypass the Strait of Hormuz.
“Iran must be stripped of this leverage.”
Iran’s only effective response to our bombardment has been its disruption of the Strait of Hormuz, but its ability to damage the world economy in that way will be gone forever if a new pipeline is built that runs from the Gulf states to the Mediterranean, terminating in…Israel. Moreover, expanded economic cooperation between Israel and the Gulf states is another nail in the coffin of Palestinian Jihad, Hamas and Hezbollah.

It is going to be the site of the natural gas pipeline to Europe and eventually an alternate Red Sea canal to supplement the Suez.
The original path for the gas pipeline was Syria and Obama and Clinton helped set up ISiS to seize control of the region of Syria where the pipe line would go. Qatar and Saudi Arabia get their pipeline and Israel gets rid of Gaza as a problem.
Interesting.
If I am not mistaken, there were similar pipelines over there long time ago.
Due to Arab-Israeli conflicts in the past, they are long gone.
Obviously, this is major project, but very feasible.
Politics is by far the major obstacle.
If Israel and the Arabic countries of the peninsula can iron it out it would be huge!
There is no chance Israel would put an oil pipeline through the vioper’s nest of Gaza, imho.
“I’ll take ‘Things That Go Boom!’ for $1,000, Alex!”
Finally doing something to control the animals.
This looks like strategic wins across the region.
The people of Gaza get a shiny new place to live as far from Israel as possible and the Gulf States get their coveted gas and oil pipeline to Europe without having to go through Syria or having to deal with Turkey
It's highly unlikely that Gaza is going to be rebuilt until Hamas is gone which will never happen No. rebuilding will occur until the situation with Hamas and Islamic terror in Gaza is resolved which means rebuilding will be delayed for an indefinite period.
The forced pacification of Gaza, even if done by a peace force made up of Gazan's Islamic brothers, is going to be a mess that no amount of money can solve.
All the talk of Gaza becoming the hot new vacation destination on the Sinai Riviera is a happy talk distraction. The best bet that the Arabs are going to buy off the Gazans to get them to leave and that buy off is going to look better and better the longer the people of Gaza are forced to live in tents in a bombed out open sewer.
The Arab world has no love for the Gaza, Gaza is a European/UN thing but they are too broke to rebuild Gaza.
No way is anyone going to put a pipeline or anything else of value anywhere near those Gaza savages after Oct 7 and the crap that Hamas has put everyone who has tried to help them through over the last year.
Iran was the one supporting Hamas and working with Europe and the Un to block any progress and they are no longer a factor.
The logical move is to relocate the people of Gaza out of Israel because the problem in Gaza is the people of Gaza.
This fact was driven home on the very first day of Gaza independence from Israel.
At one time, the Gaza area was renown for it's amazing green house farms that were the envy of the Middle East. Well meaning Jewish groups bought the greenhouses with the intent of deeding them to the people of Gaza as the start of economic growth and prosperity for the new state of Gaza.
Hours after the IDf withdrawal the people of Gaza descended on the greenhouses and looted them . Z
I will never forget the picture of a jubilant grandmother and her grade school grandson proudly carrying an electtctrical breaker box pulled off the walls of greenhouse with bent conduit and wires hanging out of it back to their home in Gaza .
That was the precise moment that I realized that there was no hope for the people of Gaza or for peace with Israel. How can you deal with people who are so filled with irrational hate and kleptocratic larceny that they would go against their own self interest to tear down and loot their only new lifeline to establish their economic base.
That is a well informed and considered opinion. I appreciate it. I would hope for something so useful, but I’ve got less hope in me than you.
We know that war with Islam is coming.
We also know that war with the left is coming.
War with DemocRATz is also coming.
Both are closely aligned with Islam.
So, perhaps one might want to consider economy of things and just get it all done with one war.
Yes, it’s humor, but there is much truth there.
“They” are truly evil and hate us, so returning the hate early instead of later might be beneficial.
The world has narrow window of opportunity to seize the initiative and solve an intractable problem that has brought the entire region to the brink of disaster.
Of course, the reason the Gaza problem has been insoluble is because Europe, the UN and the Arab world did not want a solution, they wanted a festering humanitarian disaster in Gaza to inflame the world against Israel and galvanize opposition to the Jewish state.
This strategy has backfired on the Arabs and the EU in epic fashion so perhaps they have learned their lesson but I have serious doubts. On the other hand, in the Middle East greed conquers everything so Saudi and Qatar's greed for their long desired oil and gas pipeline to the Med may overcome many obstacles.
Relocate Gaza to eastern Iran. Let the Afghans deal with the Palis on their border.
As the USG plays the Biden 2.0 script to perfection, you know the one where the President is less than mentally up to the job like Biden’s dementia, like Trump’s fake dementia, it is used as the TRUMP-CARD to prevent anyone from being responsible for Trump’s decisions. Trump’s fake mental health problems will be increasingly talked about and how the USG is just a rudderless Ship of State under Trump as it was supposedly under Biden. You got to love the deep-state playbook. MAGA will defent Trump on the grounds that nothing was done about Biden’s dimished mental state. All the bad things certianly not charged or the person responsible for such terrible outcomes held accountable is he is mentally demished. Trump is the perfect foil in the Biden 2.0 playbook.
Next week PowerlineBlog will have a newer, fresher take on the objectives of the conflict.
Trump’s quagmire is ending the US military dominance around the world. When Trump is thru with Gaza and Iran, the World will be thru will American military power in the Mid East and Europe.
The myth of invincibility has been torn off.
When NATO refused to allow Russia to withdrawal after their quick incursion into Ukraine that had very limited political objectives... IRAN refused to allow the US to withdrawal after their quick incursion into Iran that had limited political objectives.
Iran has defeated the military objectives of the US and Israel by still standing against the aggression. Trump refused to leave Ukraine and he won’t be given the chance to leave Iran.
Trump can leave but American cannot run or hide. Iran may still be at war with the US 10 years form now. Instead of American air power it will explosions here at home that become an everyday feature of life in the US. Just like Israel is a turd to flys, so will the US be mired in the crap that keeps Jihaid and terrorism alive and returning to the US.
The US cannot simply tuck tail and run, declaring we win after finding that military power can do only so much.
The world blames the US for the closing of the Straight of Trump adjacent to Iran. Trump’s greed has finally caught up with America.
