US President Donald Trump says Cuba is "in a real bind" and proposes an American "friendly takeover" of the island.
After attempts to topple Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, Havana's most important ally in the region, Washington has tightened its long-standing trade blockade on Cuba, as the communist-ruled island is hard-pressed by an energy crisis and economic difficulties.
"They have no money, they have nothing right now. But they are talking to us and maybe we will see a friendly takeover of Cuba," Trump told reporters as he left the White House on Friday.
The Cuban government is talking to us, and they are in a real bind.

There has been for decades an axis of evil.
Powers such as North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Cuba, Venezuela, Russia, and China have fed upon an anti-American hysteria. They all have thousands of internet bots also stoking these ideas here in our homeland.
Opponents of American strength have pretended that the United States cannot break this global bond. That was always ridiculous and it’s absurd we waited this long. These mutually re-enforcing evils are exponentially weaker as they are unable to help one another. A substantial interruption for any of them ripples through the chain causing greater weakness.
The US has the combined hard power of the top 20 militaries in the world. We can topple these terrible government and we can encourage opponents to take over from the collapse. In Los Angeles alone there are 350,000 Iranians opposed to the current government.
Shaming and destroying these foreign enemies disgraces our own internal enemies who so obviously cheer for them.
This is a great day for America and the larger world that wants better governments.

One for one. An old used Ford Fiesta or Ranger for each Hudson classic. The Fords will be modern compared to what they got. Think upgrade. Throw in a $10 socket wrench set and a repair manual in Spanish. Lock them into American vehicles. The Ford Rangers will be needed to transfer goods for all the economic activity to come.
Include a 5 gallon gas container. Free gas for 5 years or so.

The western provinces of Canada would join in a heartbeat, but perhaps Quebec could form its own suzerainty, including most of eastern Canada.
