This is what the end of Jewish safety looks like in a city that refuses to confront the ideology driving the violence, first denial, then normalization, then blood.
During the festival of Hanukkah, a holiday centered on light, faith, and survival, visibly Jewish New Yorkers returning from celebrations were violently targeted on a New York City subway train. The assault was not random. It was ideological. And it is increasingly becoming the norm in a city unraveling under radical political and cultural forces that have normalized open hatred toward Jews.
Footage circulating on social media shows a young Jewish man being grabbed by the neck and forced backward on a train, attacked solely for being visibly Jewish. According to the video, the victim was one of several young Chabad men whose only “offense” was sharing the light of Hanukkah in public.

Pompey sacked Jerusalem in 63 BC. Ruled via proxies(e.g., Herod) until 6 AD, whereby direct rule began. In 70 AD, Jerusalem was leveled. Since then, they have been persecuted by the Romans, Christians(for killing Christ), Muslims(Jews were 2nd-rate citizens), and in modern history, they have been persecuted wherever they go. Please list me an era or place where Jews enjoyed peace?
Our daughter has a good friend who is an Orthodox Jew living in NYC. Her family has lived there for generations. They, and much of their extended family, are seriously considering leaving the city.
I’m a Protestant Okie, but if I visit New York, I think I will wear a kippah or yamaka on the subway just to see what happens.

My Dutch ancestors showed up in New Amsterdam/New York in 1638. Since that time period, North America has never had a hunting season on Jews.
The people of this continent will never delve into such nonsense.
If I were a young Jew of any type, I would RUN to Tel Aviv to party, or Jerusalem to pray. It’s the best. America is great for most people most of the time. But there’s no place in the world like Israel for a Jew.

Hunting doesn’t necessarily mean killing. My neighbor hunts a lot without bagging a deer. But his hunting does negatively impact their movements and security.

There is certainly not the level of endemic problems of anti-semitism in America as in Europe, but anti-semitism is clearly part of the American experience.

Overall, Mamdani got about 30% of the vote from those who called themselves Jewish. To put it mildly, this was much lower among Orthodox Jews. Almost every single Orthodox Jewish leader speaking on the election denounced Mamdani. The only exception were 4 leaders of the Satmar Hasidim and they were denounced by the a large number of Satmar Rabbis, despite this Hasidic house being anti-Zionist. Mamdani’s 3 “Rabbis” were a Reform and Reconstructionist woman and a Reconstructionist Trans-”woman” who the Biden administration found to be too toxic. In other words, there is a good chance that every Orthodox Jewish adult on that subway voted against Mamdani

Some precincts in heavily-Jewish neighborhoods were 96% anti-Mandami.

FDR was certainly a hero, but his relationship to European Jewry was not so simple. He refused to let the St. Louis ship deliver Jews to the US just before the outbreak of the war.
Also, like all the other Western Empires, they couldn’t find space to shelter those Jews fleeing the Nazis. This was when those powers controlled a huge portion of the land mass of planet Earth.
