This idiotic statement was made by CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour. "The hostages were a key bargaining chip of Hamas in the peace negotiations," she said. "So, I'm sure they were better fed and cared for than the average inhabitant of Gaza. None of them had to worry about whether aid would get through to them. On the other hand, the latest data released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health says Israel's military killed 67,173 killed Gazans, including 20,179 children."
On October 7, 2023 Hamas took 251 hostages. This week they released the 20 who survived captivity. This amounts to a 92% fatality rate among the hostages. The fatality rate among the Gazans during the war was less than 2%. Many of the Gazans killed were used by Hamas as human shields. Others were killed by Hamas for failing to obey their orders. Members of Hamas are also numbered among the Gazans killed in the war.
Meanwhile, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt) celebrated the release of over 2,000 Palestinian murderers, rapists, and terrorists that was part of peace deal, calling it "long overdue. Israel's military strength in the region enables it to capture many of the jihadis who fight against its illegal occupation of Palestinian lands. The much weaker Hamas is forced to target unarmed civilians in operations like the one on October 7, 2023. Of course most of these individuals' only crime was that they were Jews, which the Quran urges Muslims to kill. That some of them were taken hostage was an act of mercy on the part of the Hamas fighters who took them."
In the wake of the withdrawal of Israeli troops, Hamas has resumed its normal execution of disobedient Palestinians with daily firing squads. Hamas politburo member Mohammed Nazzal justified the executions, saying "these civilians consumed food aid that should have been turned over to us to help in our fight to expel the Jews who are occupying our land. They wouldn't sacrifice for us during the war, so they must pay for their disloyalty with their lives now."
In related news, the Democrat candidate for mayor in New York City Zohran Mamdani said "I don't want any pro-Israel voters to join my coalition. Israel has been illegally occupying Palestine for more than 75 years. The only just resolution is for them to permanently leave and go back to where they came from. Anyone who fails to understand this is not a just person and cannot be trusted to help bring true socialism to New York. Why should I invite their support now only to have to dispose of them later?"
Jeremy Ben-Ami, founder of the left-wing group J Street, which is both pro-Israel and pro-peace, has announced that "we are urging our members to vote for Mamdani. We are all committed to the idea of making New York a model of socialist prosperity here and don't hold his anti-Israel views against him." To which Mamdani is reported to have lamented "this is a Trotsky-like deviation that I will have to deal with after I am elected."
Israel supplied food aid with 4432 calories per person per day in Gaza.
The fact that people starved lays on Hamas that stole it.
Period.
