Tulsi, Vance, or Rubio, what's the 2028 ticket?

So for me I'd go with Vance & Tulsi. It's a hard choice for VP on this ticket, but Tulsi brings the female part to the ticket and she has proven herself as the true battle horse that is needed to back up a President.

But I could also easily argue for Rubio *if* he campaigns as a true MAGA person. That part I'm not sure of still.

Exactly my preference. They've both earned it.

Three greats. I’d add DeSantos

Rubio destroyed his political career when Chris Christie exposed him as a dope in that epic 2016 debate exchange.

Vance/Rubio.

Tulsi has done a great job but so that’s not meant to take anything away from her.

Add Hegseth as the 4th element. I like them all. Vance is looking good and serving the role as #2 very well so I cant think of anyone else at this point that I would like more at the top of the ticket. But ultimately I’m hoping DT will run again. ;)

Rubio is the architect of the Russia hoax.

Vance for P, Tulsi for VP. Awesome ticket.

And two dark horses would be both Abbott and Paxton.

My personal preference is me, Leaning Right, for president and Vance for VP.

But on the off chance that doesn’t happen, I like your alternative. Vance & Tulsi. That of course assumes neither one goes wobbly before 2028.

JD Vance Extensive Interview with Laura Ingraham

August 21, 2025 | Sundance

The social media conversation was triggered by an article in the Wall Street Journal {SEE HERE} which claimed Elon Musk was reconsidering, actually setting aside the third-party option, and was likely to back JD Vance as his 2028 presidential nominee instead.

Factually, for those in the minority who are intellectually honest non-pretenders, the framework of the subsequent online discussion from that WSJ article was laughable.  Personally, I wanted to ridicule anyone who was buying into the nonsense that Musk and the Tech alliance (Ellison, Thiel, Sacks, Andreesen, et al) had another option in mind other than Vance.

Silicon Valley is a singular organism when it comes to their collective interests.  Palantir founder Peter Thiel has invested in JD Vance since 2013, and the PayPal mafia which includes Elon Musk have never diverged.  There is no way Thiel, Musk and the Tech alliance are going to support anyone other than Vance.  By the time we get to 2028 they will have a total investment of money and time that spans 15 years in Vance.  JD Vance will be the Silicon Valley candidate.

JD Vance knows this.  As the conversation about bringing Elon Musk back into the Trump camp is triggered, it is not coincidental that JD Vance becomes the conduit.  If JD Vance wants to be the presidential nominee in 2028, he will rely on Musk and crew; there is no other candidate for Silicon Valley.

WATCH:

JD Vance has a message for Elon Musk...

If the Tech Bros want to reenter the epicenter of influence, they will rely on Vance to get them there.   Hence, with the rumors of the Tech group wanting to reengage, we see a much more visible JD Vance.

Gabbard 2028

Vance made his bones in the snake pit known as the United States Senate.

Party label matters little in the senate, they are all trained in back stabbing.

NOTHING good ever comes out of the senate.

Name a Republican senator who has entered national politics that you can trust.

Not Dole, not McCain, not Pence, not Sessions, not Rubio, not Romney.

The Deep State went after Gabbard.

It could be said that Vance and Rubio showed NO resistance to the Deep State during their time in the senate.

Vance-Tulsi looks good, at the moment.

But, it’s really early, too early. Let’s take care of business right now and win in 2026. It’s still 14+ months until the mid-terms.

Rubio has a couple of blemishes but the guy is a freaking Ninja as SOS and he b!tch slaps and guts reporters better than Trump. I dare say he’s matured well and learned from the 2016 election. Trump had a rough start a couple of times before he came down the escalator in 2015.

I like Vance for president; but there’s a long way between now and then.

(As an aside, if there’s one woman I’ve seen in my lifetime whom I’d like to eventually see as President, it’s Sarah Sanders.)

Vance is more reliably maga. Rubio is more of a vote-getter.

We have (at least) 4 top people who could be strong presidential candidates.

Who do the Democrats have? AOC? Harris? Newsome? It’s laughable.
