The White House released a statement on the Bondi, Bongino clash on Friday afternoon.
Earlier Friday it was reported that FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino took a day off from work after a clash with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the handling of the Epstein files.
The blowup between Bondi and Bongino happened after the FBI, DOJ released a 2-page memo on Sunday concluding Jeffrey Epstein did not have a “client list” and that he committed suicide.
“Bongino did not report to work Friday amid speculation about his whereabouts, said a source familiar with the perspectives of DOJ leaders who also believes that Bongino is considering leaving,” NBC News reported.

White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields released a statement on the Bondi-Bongino clash.
“President Trump has assembled a highly qualified and experienced law and order team dedicated to protecting Americans, holding criminals accountable, and delivering justice to victims. This work is being carried out seamlessly and with unity. Any attempt to sow division within this team is baseless and distracts from the real progress being made in restoring public safety and pursuing justice for all,” Harrison Fields said.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt provided a statement to NBC News: “President Trump is proud of Attorney General Bondi’s efforts to execute his Make America Safe Again agenda, restore the integrity of the Department of Justice, and bring justice to victims of crime. The continued fixation on sowing division in President Trump’s Cabinet is baseless and unfounded in reality.”

Agree. I don’t give two hoots in a rain barrel about any Epstein list or if there even is one. I don’t know why some are making a big deal about it.

The issue about an Epstein list is who has it and can prove it. If a foreign government is using it to extort things like classified info, industrial secrets, foreign investment, or Congressional votes, that is a very big deal.
Several governments besides the US have pretty good intelligence units.
They probably don’t need a list.
And while we’re distracted by the soap opera, Trump has introduced a touchback amnesty program. (Remember the RINOs trying to get this passed in the 2000s?)

Dan and I are nearly the same age, but he’s slightly more emotional/passionate about yes/no black and white issues than I am. So I can see Dan drawing a hard line in the sand over any issue....but leaving his post, where he can have immense positive impact, over an ultimatum for loser Epstein....that’s a tough call....
He’s only been on the job since April, and I didn’t want him to leave the podcast in the first place, but this isn’t how Dan and Kash leave the administration......so many lefties want MAGA to fail...Dan and Kash have so much good still to get done.

If the list were to reveal prominent democrats and donors, I doubt seriously the “list” exists. Biden’s people would have destroyed it.
If it were to reveal Trump people and supporters it would have been passed on to Bondi.

Ultimately, President Trump makes his own choices. Nobody tells him what to do or what to say. He’s a stable genius with a massive record of success which is why he’s President of the United States, AGAIN.
That being said, as someone who works tirelessly in support of President Trump everyday, and as someone who is very plugged in with every faction of the MAGA base, I cannot sugar coat how much good will Pam Blondi has cost the Trump admin with the base this week. She is a massive liability to President Trump and his administration.
We are coming up on the 1 year anniversary this Sunday of the attempted assassination of President Trump in Butler, PA. Donald Trump has almost been killed multiple times on his path back to the White House. One of the main reasons we sent him back to WH was so that he could clean house at the DOJ and FBI and RESTORE TRANSPARENCY AND TRUST at these agencies so that the American people could have a renewed faith in our Justice system.
Since February, Blondi has underserved President Trump and @JDVance by creating carnival spectacles at the White House, spending more time on Fox News than doing her job as AG, and by eroding public trust on many issues of importance to the MAGA base.
Sadly, now the base’s patience is wearing thin. The base is demoralized thanks to Blondi.
We love President Trump, but many people feel black pilled over Blondi’s lack of transparency and this is going to SUPPRESS GOP TURNOUT ahead of the 2026 midterms.
Even @dbongino is thinking about resigning from the FBI today as a result of Pam Blondi’s lack of transparency at the DOJ, and her poor handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files!
Some people who voted for Trump are now threatening to stay home in 2026 because of Blondi’s lack of transparency.
We cannot afford to have Trump’s second term obstructed by a Democrat controlled House. We need accountability, and Blondi has failed to perform.
I want to see President Trump thrive. He will go down in history as THE BEST President ever, but Blondi is tarnishing his admin along the way with her unnecessary distractions.
President Trump should thank Blondi for her support and relieve her of her duties.
