My grandmother lived in New Orleans, and we went there every Easter vacation for years. My mom was Catholic and loved Easter mass at beautiful St. Louis cathedral there.

Yes it is beautiful. I worked on the river during my youth. During the spring floods the river was actually higher than the French Quarter. At night on the river you were actually looking down at Jackson Square and the beautiful cathedral lite with flood lights.

Each time I go back to New Orleans this old man always visits it again, walks through it again, lights a candle and leaves a generous donation. That young boy became this old man. The Cathedral is timeless.
