The new regime in Damascus has been criticized by Defense Minister Israel Katz as jihadists. There are stories of persecution of Christians out there via Syrian Observatory for Human Rights which used to cut on the Assad government for human rights violations.
Not sure what to make of it all. Turkey behind the takeover in Syria and the US has helped the Kurds to make peace with the new Syrian gov’t backed by Turks.
