Pope Francis almost stops breathing again with his health in serious decline

ope Francis is facing another terrifying health scare. The Vatican confirmed that the 88-year-old pontiff suffered two episodes of acute respiratory insufficiency this week, moments where his breathing nearly stopped entirely. Medical teams had to intervene, using non-invasive mechanical ventilation to help him breathe. This latest setback stems from the accumulation of mucus in his lungs, which doctors had to remove through bronchoscopies.

It’s hard to ignore the gravity of the situation. Pope Francis has been fighting double pneumonia since mid-February, and while there have been slight improvements, his condition is still precarious. The Vatican’s announcement makes it clear: while the pope’s respiratory function is being supported, the battle is far from over. He’s still relying on high-flow supplemental oxygen to maintain any semblance of stability.

Please don’t go just yet. Perhaps a month or two?

I know it’s probably useless, but I hope he asked God for forgiveness.

“Pope Francis is facing another terrifying health scare.”
Why would a true believer in God be terrified?

Inhaling vomit or aspiration—which is what I heard he did—is deadly in old people.

It's difficult to recover from. That's how my father died.

Seriously.

It’s a promotion for the believer.

He lasted longer than I expected.

I guess that’s what top notch medical care will get you.

As Michael Matt says at this point in Bergoglio’s life, Catholics should pray for Bergoglio’s peaceful passing rather than pray for his recovery. When quality of life deteriorates at Bergoglio’s age to a point where artificial life sustaining means become necessary on a daily basis and recovery is deemed unlikely, death then is becomes a blessing.

Perhaps Pacamama will come to his aid?

Maybe God is torturing Pope Che or perhaps giving him time to rethink.

Needs tracheostomy and pulm rehab.

Then he will stop coding every hour. He can recover from this if he gets an intensivist who is not a wimp, using noninvasive ventilation and causing him to puke every 6 hours.

Just sayin'.

I really want him gone as pope, but am afraid that the pendulum of leftist lunacy will prevail and the next pope will be as bad or worse.

Also a g tube.

It's not rocket surgery.

Sounds like they are spooning large ladles of pasta and alfredo sauce into his pie hole then strapping on the CPAP mask.

"It's a promotion for the believer"

Exactly. Remember the nuns at school reacting to the death of one of their own.

Smiles and comments like "Sister...... has gone home to God".

For an actual believer in Christ, yes, but unfortunately not for an apostate.
