WASHINGTON, D.C. — Having failed to stop him thus far, Democrats have implemented their last-ditch attempt to prevent Donald Trump from taking office by starting World War 3.
While all efforts to indict Trump, remove him from state ballots, imprison him, and assassinate him were unable to keep him from winning a landslide victory in this month's presidential election, Democratic Party leaders were hopeful that their emergency plan of plunging the globe into nuclear conflict and a subsequent post-apocalyptic hellscape would do the trick.
"We hoped it wouldn't come to this, but we've got to do what's necessary," said one source within the Biden White House. "We tried every other plan to keep Trump from regaining power, but he still got re-elected. Now, in order to save America and democracy itself, we have no choice but to resort to our ‘scorched earth' plan. Literally scorched earth."
Top Democrats were confident that they would go down in history as heroes who prevented Trump from destroying the world by preemptively destroying the world to keep him from taking office. "Nothing preserves freedom like a good old-fashioned world war," the source said. "You can't be president of the United States if there's no United States to be president of. Checkmate, Trump."
Unconfirmed reports circulated that Democrats had hidden California Governor Gavin Newsom away in an underground bunker so he would be able to emerge as president of the smoldering, irradiated ash heap that was once the United States.
At publishing time, mainstream media outlets were praising Democrat efforts to save the world from Trump by destroying the world.

Would the Democrats destroy civilization to get Trump? I’m afraid so.
Afterwards as hundreds of us walked back to our cars through Lafayette Park with our signs, we inadvertently overwhelmed a pro-Clinton rally in which I counted 73 "protestors" - with 2 buses sitting next to the park. It was plain they were literally "rent-a-protestors."
Afterwards I read and watched the news media coverage of these two events. What fascinated me was that although each individual sentence in the MSM accounts was arguably not a lie, the overall articles were one big screaming lie. Articles on the FR rally emphasizes a "small crowd" on the mall, using adjectives to portray the rally and speakers like Rep. Barr and Alan Keyes as underwhelming. By contrast the pathetic rent-a-rally at Lafayette Park was overplayed as "energetic" and "exciting" and so on.
The reason I bring all this up is because the Babylon Bee has become the polar opposite to the MSM. The MSM has long excelled at writing articles in which they try to avoid lying in individual sentences, yet their whole articles are one big screaming deceit. Whereas the Babylon Bee writes articles in which each sentence is fiction - but it all adds up to speaking the truth.

The answer, I believe, is yes.

Putin is not that dumb—he’s a tyrant but a smart and cagey one. He will take the attacks by CIA-MI6 on Russian assets and reply by launching more strikes on Ukraine only—maybe a bit of sabotage on undersea cables, or pipelines. He will hold off until Trump is in power—then a few phone calls and the war is over. He will keep his “Nuvo Russia” (formerly eastern Ukraine) Zelensky will be taken out and elections held. The lost cities will be rebuilt. Maybe Trump will build a resort on the black Sea?
