ILLEGAL FIREARM? Did Tim Walz violate state and/or federal law by using a magazine that was too large? It sure sounded like he loaded five shells into his shotgun. Tim's handmade Italian shotgun can hold 4 shells in the magazine and 1 in the chamber. Bird hunters know that you've got to use a plug to limit the capacity of your shotgun to 2 shells in the magazine and 1 in the chamber. Did Tim forget about this rule or is the truth that he has no idea what he is doing. The press pool on the hunt reported that Tim never fired his shotgun at any point during the hunt. The penalty for Tim's transgression is a $15,000 fine, 6 months in jail, and forfeiture of his firearm.
Also, how does a high school teacher with no savings or investments afford a handmade Italian shotgun? Was it a gift from the CCP on one of his many visits?
Finally, for those of you who are avid bird hunters you might know that if you're ONLY hunting pheasant there is no limit on the size of your magazine (you can use a 32-shell drum magazine if you like) UNLESS you're in a Waterfowl Production Area (WPA). If you're in a WPA you've got to use a plug to limit your magazine size.
Sleepy Eye, MN, is located within the Windom Wetland Management District, which oversees about 17,000 acres of federal Waterfowl Production Areas spread across 13 counties in southern Minnesota. These WPAs are part of the National Wildlife Refuge System and are managed for waterfowl production, wildlife habitat, and recreation activities, including hunting. If you are hunting pheasants in areas that are designated WPAs, you need to follow federal regulations, which include limiting shotgun capacity to three shells. This rule applies in federal WPAs to align with general waterfowl hunting regulations and conservation efforts. Therefore, if hunting pheasants in a WPA near Sleepy Eye, you must use a plug to limit your shotgun capacity to three shells to comply with these regulations.
Per the New York Times:
“People hunting ducks, geese, doves or other migratory birds anywhere in the United States cannot use a shotgun that is capable of shooting more than three times without reloading. They also cannot use shotguns larger than 10 gauge in order to prevent situations where one blast might kill several birds in a flock. These regulations have been in place since the 1930s, and have driven the manufacture and availability of hunting shotguns.”

There's the mistake...
Walz isn't hunting pheasants, he's hunting peasants. Walz prefers the gun that's mounted on a tank.

Fiddle-de-dee. Rules don’t apply to me.
There was a game warden escorting him and he gave a gun safety briefing, what does he say?
The A400 is for target practice - not hunting.

Looks like his Dukakis in a tank moment.
No hearing protection?
When they first went out the group had NO guns. Always a risk when you invite the press.
Unless you are using an A400 model intended for waterfowl or upland hunting. I can't tell what he has on him.
Don’t the rules also require steel shot in wetland areas? I’m not a waterfowl hunter so I don’t stay in touch with those regulations.
He could have used some tampons for ear plugs.
Yes, the post says they were in a wetland / protected area.
Dunno. But he doesn’t know how to load it correctly.
Compare and contrast................
That’s not that expensive of a shotgun.
Hold up sleepy eye is a real town I haven’t heard that name since little house on the prairie ..
The flaming pedo homo is so desperate to say yeah look at me I can shoot like a real man but he’s pathetic
One, maybe. The other was not available for his ear. He already was using one for a special, intimate purpose. That’s why we call him Tampon Tim.
United States cannot use a shotgun that is capable of shooting more than three times without reloading....
This is incorrect as the
“3” shell rule only applies
to waterfowl. Not upland
game such as dove, quail,
phesant, or grouse.
And those “3” shells are to
be steel shot only.
Doesn’t much matter, he can’t load/unload the damn thing anyhow
Don’t laugh, I’ve actually
done that. My hearing is
great for a 70 year old
man who’s hunted for 58
of those years, and my name
ain’t Tim.
