Unless you are using an A400 model intended for waterfowl or upland hunting. I can't tell what he has on him.

That gun works fine for waterfowl. It’s a shotgun. Furthermore, he may have been using earbuds for hearing protection:

Nobody I know or who I've ever hunted with, myself included, has ever worn ear protection.
