Vice President Kamala Harris has been torched online for her new “accent” at her Labor Day rally in Detroit, Michigan.
Harris was in the Motor City hoping to shore up blue-collar union workers in the critical battleground state that she wants to keep blue in the November election.
“You better thank a union member for the five-day work week,” Harris told the crowd with a notably different accent.
“You better thank a union member for sick leave. You better thank a union member for paid leave. You better thank a union member for vacation time.”

X account Johnny MAGA shared a clip knocking Harris’ “Detroit speak,” calling the VP “cringe and fake.”
“This is her seventh new accent in four weeks,” Trump senior advisor Stephen Miller reacted.
“She has literally never used this accent before. She grew up in Canada. Phoniest politician in all of politics.”
“There are countless traits that I despise in humans, few as much as inauthenticity,” professor and podcast host Gad Saad wrote.
“All of politics is a performance to Kamala Harris,” GOP strategist Matt Whitlock said.
“She changes fake accents like she changes policy positions and political personas.”

The Trump campaign highlighted her “cringe” accent in another clip, in which Harris tells a rallygoer, “Let’s just get through the next 64 days. How about that!?” before letting out a bizarre laugh.
“What did I just watch… what’s with this new accent?” Libs of TikTok reacted.
“The fakeness and cringe here is off the charts.”
Other users on X compared Harris’ accent to the voice of iconic Looney Tunes character Foghorn Leghorn.
Harris frequently changes her accent depending on the people she speaks to.
Earlier this year, she was slammed for using a fake Southern accent while speaking at a rally in Atlanta.
In 2021, critics claimed Harris used a “French accent” while touring a COVID lab in France.
I even heard the national radio news anchor say something to the effect; “She used the same speech in Pittsburg(?) without the accent.”

Like Vance has already said: She changes her persona according to her audience.
She is obviously being coached on her delivery by Obama. Watch any of his speeches, the mannerisms, timing, and delivery are the same.
If not coached directly, she is being made to study his speeches and emulate his style.

When I listened to it I thought I was listening to Foghorn Leghorn.
Hillary did fake accents too. I read she is close friends with Hillary and I’m wondering if this is fake accent is on the advice from Hillary.
Including her accent, "morals", principles, political "promises" and her personal history.
But, those fools will still vote for her.

Some ‘Ebonics’ to be heard but yeah. They have an accent of the Midwest, which is none to my ears.
And nowadays, Detroit downtown proper is becoming quite nice. But of course it is “white gentrification” Avoid the “wrong” side of town though.
