Elevating the Status of Motherhood Solves Low Birthrates: The Extraordinary Case of Mongolia For 68 years, Mongolian leaders have given the Order of Maternal Glory to mothers. This raised the status of motherhood and helped forge a remarkably pronatal culture.

Great idea. But make it married mothers.
And yet their population growth is slower than the global average.
The demographics of America might change if married mothers got a substantial tax cut. For many citizens, this would not matter — they don’t pay taxes, so the tax cut is null. But productive, tax-paying Americans would have an incentive to have more children.
Marriage AND motherhood together deserve special public approval. If you want to give children the best start in life, they should be raised by their parents living together and devoted to their care and upbringing.

March 27, 1972
To the President and Congress of the United States:
I have the honor to transmit for your consideration the Final Report, containing the findings and recommendations, of the Commission on Population Growth and the American Future, pursuant to Sec. 8, PL 91-213.
After two years of concentrated effort, we have concluded that, in the long run, no substantial benefits will result from further growth of the Nation’s population, rather that the gradual stabilization of our population through voluntary means would contribute significantly to the Nation’s ability to solve its problems. We have looked for, and have not found, any convincing economic argument for continued population growth. The health of our country does not depend on it, nor does the vitality of business nor the welfare of the average person.
The recommendations offered by this Commission are directed towards increasing public knowledge of the causes and consequences of population change, facilitating and guiding the processes of population movement, maximizing information about human reproduction and its consequences for the family, and enabling individuals to avoid unwanted fertility.
To these ends we offer this report in the hope that our findings and recommendations will stimulate serious consideration of an issue that is of great consequence to present and future generations.
Respectfully submitted for the Commission,
John D. Rockefeller 3rd
Chairman
And we sure could have used a tax incentive..

Seduction, Dating, and More in Mongolia
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the girls in Mongolia. You’ll find some sweet, but fun-loving girls in this country – all of them with incredible bodies.
I don’t doubt you’ll be able to find some fine Mongolian girls here. Best of luck and happy hunting!
Oh, and don’t forget to stay in a ger or yurt for at least one night! A worthwhile experience.

more here.
They have a 2.7 TFR, which is substantially higher than their neighbors…I don’t think your comment is a valid criticism.
Well their biggest neighbor is actively trying to reduce their population growth. Meanwhile they’re still growing lower than the global average. It’s not a criticism, it’s a fact.
What facts? You state things as facts but I doubt it. Global TFR is 2.3 and Mongolia is 2.7 according to Grok.
I was going to say. I worked in public-funded medical settings for quite some time from the 1980s into the late 1990s. I’m pretty gosh-darned familiar with the scenario of some w3lfare-mom-type gal having like 7 kids all close in age AND she has had a string of ab0rtions (not conjecture but fact gleaned from the medical chart). Some people (not to get sidetracked) will look at a gal like that and praise her to the sky, ignoring her multiple ab0rtions. (Not saying they should do anything else; it’s their right to think whatever they want about whatever they want - just noting an inconsistency.)
And, regardless of how many ab0rtions the woman has had, she gets thousands of $$ every month from the state to help her fund her wild party time.
So, I’m on the side of people who don’t really want for gals like that to be rewarded, because they already ARE being rewarded. Or that’s what it looks like.
I didn’t real all the other replies here, but did anyone comment on how amusing it is for the stern gaze of Genghis Khan (peace be upon him) to be, like, a blessing on this event?
Thanks for posting, by the way.
It's been done before, you know.

I hear you. My mother produced 9 children
And my father worked hard to provide for all of us.
I was so blessed to grow up in a big family, and my sisters are my best friends.
