Does this ‘ammendment’ require house and senate approval, or is it like a subpoena that the committee can just issue?
Well, I don’t mind hearing this.
But this does seem like a situation where a legislative body passes a piece of legislation specifically designed to screw over one particular individual. Why isn’t this considered a Bill of Attainder?
I suspect that IF they do this. to Garland or any other person like this.

I absolutely believe that all of the three letter mafia entites are capable of being entirely “self funded”..
I don;t believe for a minute that his House, car, groceries, dry cleaning or bowling nights will not be 100% covered by “friends”.

It’s not a Bill of Attainder because it doesn’t involve civil penalties or criminal charges. It’s a simple appropriation that is well within Congress’ powers. If the guy doesn’t want to work for $1 he can get another job.

The actions with the House - Sergeant at Arms - require only the House act.
Garland had a lot more financial resource than his government salary. The deep state will take care of him. Why isn’t he in jail next to Bannon? That is what would be just.
Next, they will stomp their feet, scream at the top of their lungs, and really be agitated that Garland is ignoring them. They may even put themselves into timeout!
No wonder Bannon and Navarro had contempt for these jackasses.

Anything to avoid having to instruct the Sgt at Arms to go arrest the miscreant. They are all terrified of the DOJ and FBI coming after them. That’s it in a nutshell. They are scared.
