Personal Prayer Request- On January 17, 2024, my wife and I were told by our daughter, Lora, that she was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. She is 45 years old, a mother to 3 young children, and was living a normal life with her husband when life abruptly changed with this sudden blow out of left field. Both she and her husband are Naval veterans. Now all the consultations and strategies begin by medical experts as to the best approach and treatment. Still unknown is whether the cancer has metastasized. Please include Lora and her family in your daily prayers. Lift them to the Almighty for His personal healing and spiritual strength to help Lora and her family weather this storm. Thank you in advance for your prayers, consideration, and compassion.
It’s my understanding that colon cancer has the highest cure rate. During a stay in hospital during Covid, they discovered my husband had internal bleeding somewhere. After an x ray, and some surgery to remove 25% of his colon, it was a mass in his colon and 11 of the 16 lymph nodes they removed were clear, but 5 were not and they did not get them all because of the difficult location of the cancer. He started on chemo, which we were able to do 3 days every other week for 9 months. He’d go in they hooked him up to a pump and we went back home where he could rest comfortably. Then back to the dr office in 3 days to have it removed. He’s had 2 pet scans and is clear of cancer. They will be checking him every 2 months for a while. But these checkups are coming back clear.
Not the experience we were expecting. He even gained back some of the 30# he had lost while on chemo. He had no nausea, the only side effect he suffered from was very sensitive to cold. They changed his chemo solution some and it got a bit better but they treated him and he wore gloves to get things out of the fridge and he couldn’t drink cold drinks, only room temp liquids.
But he is cancer free and he had curly hair when he was done with chemo. He’s 73, and the cold sensitivity is mostly gone. He’s having his sodas over ice!
It was a long process but he’s cancer free. A shocking diagnosis but he’s returned to normal and many prayers were said in his behalf. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Praying for your family.
If it wasn’t for Covid/hospitalization, we would not have known he had the cancer
Prayers for you all. What a difficult situation. Hoping for the best!

Thank you, Jim. I must say you have assembled a wonderful family of like-minded, compassionate, caring patriots on this site. I feel so blessed to be part of this community. The outpouring of prayers is just tremendous. I can feel the power in those prayers and I’m certain Lora and her family can as well. Thanks to everyone.
Absolutely, praying for your daughter & your entire family.
May God grant wisdom to her medical team as they further develop their treatment plan.
Father God,
We lift up in prayer your daughter Lora and her earthly parents, her husband and her children for Your Divine Grace and Mercy,
Yours is the Name Above Every Name, including the name of cancer, of illness, or fear. We renounce the power of these things and give all of them to You for Your miraculous disposition.
Be with every family member to console, relieve, empower and encourage.
If any of this family are not sure of their Salvation, may they repent, be baptised and be saved, that their prayers may be effective.
Guide the medical team, the insurers, and all who come in contact with this family as they navigate this passage.
Bring believing Christians alongside to help and support quietly and without fanfare.
Renew the faith of Lora and every family member, we pray, in Your Divine Will and Plan for her life.
Yet not our will, but Yours be done
in Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
I’ll be praying for Lora and the family.
God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, (Ephesians 3:20)
Praying for you and your family!!
