Texas ordered to remove floating Rio Grande barriers
Washington Examiner ^ | 1 December 2023 | Kaelan Deese

Texas must remove a floating barrier it placed at the Rio Grande to deter immigrants from illegally crossing the United States-Mexico border, an appeals court ruled Friday.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit ruled 2-1 to decline a request by Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) to reverse a lower court decision that had ordered it to remove the 1,000-foot-long string of buoys placed at the river in July near Eagle Pass, Texas. The decision can still be appealed, but it marks a victory for the Biden administration's efforts to remove the barriers, arguing they unlawfully block navigation and cause humanitarian concerns.

Texas should tell them to go fcuk themselves and if they want it removed to come do it themselves.

Florida has a excess of alligators. Put a few thousand in the Rio Grand near the crossings. The sight of a bunch of gators in the water would in itself be a deterrent. For those non-river crossing locations, Texas has a lot of rattle snakes that can be dump in the area.

If people want to come to the US, do it legally and millions do. Don’t let the first step into the country be a crime.

Placing tax caps in our Constitution is necessary.

Making them a campaign issue is a vote winner.

Just do as Biden does. Ignore the court. Biden did this with student loan forgiveness.

Yep. Then video them doing it so Trump can use the footage in a campaign commercial.

Navigation concerns? OK, Then build a BIG wall on the LAND like President Trump started to do. Biden wants an open border, a wide open border. This is dangerous and stupid on a few levels, it has to stop.

arguing they unlawfully block navigation...

Um, this is the Rio Grande, not the Mississippi River.

The ONLY navigation crossing the Rio Grande is transversely, from South to North. And, it is illegal.

The Leftists have determined that nobody is going to stand up to them.

So, like a football team that determines their opponent cannot stop them from running the ball down their throats, they run.

Over and over again.

Until their opponent demonstrates that they can and will stop them. But until then, they are going to run.

Right down our throats.

Placing tax caps in our Constitution is necessary.

Removing ALMOST ALL taxes is necessary and restoring the organic Constitution of the Republic.

Tax "caps" would help solidify the bastardized maritime-law constitution, based on contract law, admiralty law. We must return to Common Law of the original Constitution.

Patriots of this country need to go down there and stand arms locked to create a human barrier. I just read that border patrol agents are now allowed to cut the barbed wire again too.

If you are familiar with TX’s budgets, you know why it can’t ignore the court.

Deep State has TX by its financial short hairs.

There isn’t a red state in the nation for that reason.

And that includes Florida.
