Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

Last Friday, when I was stumped, I had 3 letters in the first guess (wrong places) and 4 letters in the second guess (wrong places).
That wealth of information actually left me a little lost. How was I supposed to get those 4 letters into an order that works other than the word I guessed.
I finally got it.
Yes, sometimes the “right letter, wrong place” items are not all that helpful... lately I seem to need at least one green to make much progress...
I can relate. We have a POLST on the refrigerator.

Utterly failed yesterdays... Got today’s in 4...
It would appear that Jim is going to do my window, just like he did his window, but the requirement is, since it’s a front-facing window, instead of wood in place of the screen that is coming out, the replacement needs to be glass or Plexiglas.
So Jim is going to pick it up and I will have to pay him at some point for his purchase. I will wait for the receipt.
Since today was so unbelievably hectic, my ulcers have flared up and I had to call a halt to everything. Two people gave me the same chocolate present (how thoughtful of them!) and one was going to give me the same thing but has decided to wait on it for a week or two. How much fun is that?
Anyway, it was an amazingly Β‘Estupendo! day, and it’s time now to fix Chip’s food and then take my exhausted self to beddy-bye!
Who knew days like this could be so fun?
Glad you had a good day, and sorry about the ulcers.
What a tiny floof!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night.
FD kept me awake about an hour past my bedtime, but I hate to tell her to let me go to sleep. I wanted to sleep another hour, but I really, really had to make a pit stop, and by then it was 0430.
Thanks. The ulcers tried to hit me on Monday, but I ignored them, but they were back full force yesterday. They are still with me this morning, as I just remembered that I told Chuck to let Jim know I’d be ready after 0800, but I have to go get the grocks at Walmart.
So I’ll probably be out of here by 0745. I love it when they text me early! I think Jim knows what car I drive, because we have assigned parking here, and he used to live in this same apartment, seven years ago.
Anyway, it will be another busy day, as it’s pill-sorting day as well.
It’s 55Β° right now, but will be 89Β° later on. Yippee! I can just go stand in the sunlight today!

Good morning, everyone. Happy Friday Eve!
It should get a little warmer today, although we don’t have much sun in the foreguess. I’ll have to keep an eye on the in-laws’ thermostat to see if it needs to be switched to AC mode.
Today F-I-L has an appointment with the podiatrist. We’ve been dressing a sore on the ball of his foot for a couple of weeks. If that sore gets a thumbs-up we have one fewer chore to do when visiting them. But his blood pressure was somewhat elevated at the cardiologist’s yesterday so we have one additional chore when we visit. Neither of us wanted to be nurses, but I guess we are learning to be.
Today was a very normal Wordle day.

Sorry to hear about your in-laws needing so much care. I guess there comes that time in all our lives when we have to give up our own care and feeding and let someone else do it.
If I could find a podiatrist here, I’d go to him for the care and whatever of my feet, because I don’t want to go to St George for a pedicure that can be done here. Medicare will pay for it either way, so...
Good Morning!
Waiting for the storms to come through later, hoping nothing is too severe in our area.... π€π» Doesn’t look good on the flooding front for the already soaked areas of SE Texas...

Thoughts for the day:

We shall know the tree by its fruits...
Good one, Nully!
What and interesting coat on that little rascal!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night after your outing, yesterday.
It’s 63Β° this morning with a high of 93 by late afternoon.
I love being warm!
Jim should be done traipsing back and forth through the house today. He just has to finish caulking the Plexiglas and the job will be done and I can have my bedroom back. There needs to be new blinds in there, as the previous tenant somehow tied the blind strings so they didn’t raise or lower, but sat about 2” above the sill. I couldn’t figure out how it was done, as there were no visible blind pulls.
At any rate, they ended up in the dumpster yesterday, and my “blackout” curtains don’t. I don’t think Chuck wants any color but white facing the street, which means he has to put up new blinds or I have to buy thermal-backed curtains. Unngh.
Chuck wasn’t here yesterday, so I don’t know what he’s going to do about it. I’ll find out if he has any blinds that size and maybe Jim can just put them up. They just snap into the brackets.
Not too bad. I should have gone to bed earlier, but I was reading a book.
The landlord owes you working blinds.
