Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

Someone skeered da tiny floof!
Good morning. I hope you slept well, and were tired enough that even Jake didn’t bother you!
That’s interesting news about the kids. Congratulations to Sally and her beau, and I think Elen should indeed, go back to Okinawa, as it seems she’s obviously fallen in love with the place.
And good for the two boys who are working and still applying for other jobs. Onward and upward!
I’m still waiting for the bathroom to heat up. Its 27° outside, while a not-so-toasty 70° in here. Bundle up, she says!
It’s raining here. And not bad, thanks. Jake banged on the door promptly at 5:20, but I ignored him until about 6:00.
If El goes back to Japan, maybe I’ll get to visit her!
That would be wonderful to visit Elen in Japan! What an experience! I would love for you to go!
I was going to go take my shower in a warm place, but decided to see if you had responded. I didn’t expect it, so what a surprise!
This will be a slow day today, all the way around! At least I have fresh bread to toast and eat for lunch. ;o]
Tom, I now recall, said that she’s already had an interview for a job. I assume it’s with a contracting firm, since there’s no way she’d have an interview for civil service this quickly.
DP and Kathleen have gone to Mass. Frank is loafing about. Vlad may be dead. James is alive: I had to ask him about his work schedule because what he put on the calendar is illegible.
Sally is coming over later to consult on Kathleen’s hair. Kathleen cut a big piece out of the back because she’s too wimpy to pick the knots out, and it looks idiotic. Sally will come up with a creative solution - hopefully with photos or drawings - and then I’ll take it to my hairdresser, Karen.
Contracting firms pay big money for overseas assignments. At least, they used to. It’s something the Late Igor did between his service in the navy and his transition to aerospace.
I’m going to sluff today, since there is no church as it were, as the temple is being re-dedicated prior to its re-opening on Tuesday. They will shut down between Christmas and New Year, then be open once again, brand new innards. Though I’m sad to say they have done away with the Chapel. That was a place of quiet contemplation for me when I lived in St George in the ‘80s.
Ohdear! Kathleen, what have you done? Looks like a new, shorter “Do” is in store for that girl. She can’t see the back of it, so it’s all OK! My great niece did that, but she was three!

Nice work!
Good Sunday Morning!
Hoping that everyone has a nice start to the day!

Kathleen is almost 12, sigh. Elen and Sally cut one another’s hair when they were more like 6 and 4.
She can’t see the back, so she thinks it looks fine. I’m hoping Sally will have a creative solution. Mine would involve a crude chop, followed by a visit to Karen to get it fixed.

Prayers for all family members. May the Season and the coming year bring abundant blessings.
Yeah, I know Kathleen is older than three. But it’s still something a child under six would do. And you’re right — she doesn’t have to see it so it doesn’t matter.
As much hair as I’ve cut over the years, I could probably do something with it, but my hands are very cold, so...
Annette sent me a text to find out if I was going to the Dedication, but I had to go outside and climb the hill behind my building in order to get a signal. I think I’ll be needing a new phone soon. Very soon.
I hope your Sunday is going well!
Both of you!
For you as well!
👍🏻
It’s possible that Sally has forgotten she was going to come over, or remembered that she had other plans. It’s okay. We’ll get around to it.
Since the Sharps brought me a loaf of whole wheat bread yesterday, I decided to see if it was as good as my whole wheat/white bread. So I sliced off the end and a slice next to it, put them in the toaster and let them cook to a nice dark golden color.
Then I slathered them with butter and on the end piece, I added homemade blackberry jelly and to the other piece I added apricot preserves.
And promptly dropped a big dollop of the blackberry jelly on the front of my favorite warm tunic! I don’t know how much butter is in the splat, but I’ll have to use the old remedy of taking out the butter stain with butter before I wash it.
*sigh*
But oh, my! It was all so delicious! Next time, I think I’ll get one of my big dish towels and use it for a bib...
Indeed!!
Sally did arrive and has cut Kathleen’s hair, saving me a trip to Karen and avoiding any complaints, because haircuts are good if Sally says they are.
Played this par 3 12th pretty much “by the book”: an iron shot off the tee, setting up a short chip onto the green, then a short putt for par. For just a fleeting moment my chip shot looked like it might hole in and get me a Birdie, but it squeaked past a few inches off-line and left me a two-footer for the third stroke.
So, I’m heading into the new work week holding steady at 3 under.
