In a move that has ratcheted up tensions in an already precarious region, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the arrival of one of its Ohio-class submarines in its area of responsibility (AOR).
The Biden regime has yet to release an official statement.
“On November 5, 2023, an Ohio-class submarine arrived in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility,” U.S. Central Command wrote on X/Twitter.

The Ohio-class submarines are the largest submarines ever built by the U.S. Navy. They are 560 feet long and 42 feet wide, and displace 18,750 tons when submerged.
The Ohio-class submarine has nuclear weapons. The 14 Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarines (SSBNs) carry about half of the United States’ active strategic thermonuclear warheads that are capable of erasing a country from the map.

Yes, Fox reported the submarine had its nuclear missiles removed and replaced with Tomahawk missiles.
“Area of responsibility” for CENTCOM covers a large territory, but I get that such a statement to warn off Iran tells other potential adversaries that he submarine isn’t in their neck of the woods.
I hope the Ohio doesn’t have a dingbat or a queer as her CO, or any of those in her crew, either.

Exactly. I guarantee this is a repurposed Ohio class sub that is only armed with conventional cruise missiles. No way would the Navy park a boomer in what amounts to a cul-de-sac where it could be easily located and destroyed.

I don’t recall the location classification, but I do recall that we could neither confirm nor deny the presence of nuclear weapons on the boat. So I wonder where Fox News got their info about the weapons load.
I could see removing some of the nuclear missiles to make room for more cruise missiles (maybe), but surely Biden didn't remove all of them. Did he?
Actually, I'd think the surface ships of two aircraft carrier task forces would have an ample supply of cruise missiles though.
