In a delightful Twitter video titled "Just leave me alone," a heartwarming yet comical scene unfolds as an owner approaches their small dog's abode, only to be met with an unexpected reaction. The video showcases the owner's attempt to coax their furry companion out of its snug dwelling on a bright morning. However, the diminutive canine, seemingly protective of its personal space, responds with a spirited display of defiance.

That is cute - thanks....
That’s “cute” right now, but the dog is showing signs of becoming too territorial and declaring he is the Maker of Rules, not the owner.
If the owner had stuck his hand or finger in that little LOve-Shack, he would have very likely been bitten or gnawed. I would promptly remove that little house and transfer it outside, where the back yard could be more or less the dog’s domain. Not smart having a snappy, crabby, bitey dog inside your kitchen. Soon, he won’t want anybody coming in “his” kitchen, either.
Looks to me as though that dog isn’t expecting a whole lot of affection from that man.
Very cute.
Very True- Dog is establishing it’s dominance- The Dog Whisperer could cure it quickly- Dogs want to be followers- they are happiest when others take the dominant role- usually- but folks think dominant dogs are happy being pack leader- but it leads to aggressiveness eventually and dangerous implications for owners and family members in many cases
I get a little heat on the Freep for my devotion to the Rottweiler breed. They’re killers, I’m told. However, I’ve raised two who were both AKC Canine Good Citizen.
I was nearly blinded by a Yorkie back in the early 70s when I was a toddler, and am beyond terrified of all purse dogs as a result. Anything with rhinestone collars and bows (aside from my Ursa Maxime who wore a rhine stone collar and was a dead ringer for the puppy in the Omen).
But a doctor pal of mine told me he’s had to repair more destroyed achilles tendons because of purse dogs than any maulings from the ‘dangerous dogs’.
I would have adopted a boxer instead of that rat dog.
Sometimes, a smaller dog is more practical, especially if it’s going to be living inside the home most the time.
And the bigger the dog is, the more exercise they may require/ demand everyday, until they get to about 8 or 9 years old.
I had a Schnauzer who was protective of his “den” - a hidey hole below the coats in a coat closet.
You are a 100 percent correct.
I have trained a lot of dogs. Time to let that dog know who is boss.
I good dog dies to so.
A bad dog lives to long in a lot of places.
I never tolerated a bad dog.
