Shortly before RFK Jr stated that he would be announcing a run for president as an independent candidate, he appeared on a podcast to discuss the possibility of leaving the Democrat ticket. {Rumble Link Here} Mr Kennedy said his campaign had done research on the impact to the 2024 race if he ran as an independent.

Within the interview RFK Jr shares that his private polling reveals he takes more votes from Donald Trump than he does from Joe Biden. Thus, having seeded the background for favorable republican support, running as an independent now becomes the most effective way to stop Trump. WATCH:

I’m amazed at the number of writer who use “admits” when they mean “claims.”

It’s clever of him to assert this as a way to keep the Dems from calling him a traitor (as much)

“I would suspect this was part of the plan from the beginning”

I suspected that the Democrats would try to support a Ross Perot against Trump as an insurance policy for Biden. Truth is, if the US Government doesn’t control spending soon, the economy is going to get alot worse and people will be massively suffering. The elites of both parties don’t support Congressional fiscally sane policies.

Yes. And Republicans vote Republican.

But this time it’s different. There is a good percent of the GOP who won’t vote for Trump again. They voted for him twice—but for whatever reason, they won’t do it again.

Now those voters are NOT ever going to vote for Biden. Most of them will just stay home.

That leaves the independents. I figure if they did not vote for Trump last time...they still won’t. And those who did vote for Trump will fall into the same split category as the GOP.

In the end, there are simply not enough voters who are even partially open to Trump to swing the general his way. And if Biden is taken out and replaced by someone who can string words into a coherent sentence? It won’t even be as close as I predict.

For the past two years I’ve been saying Trump is too old—only months younger than the Biden train wreck. Actuarial tables suggest a significant risk of death or debilitating disease will strike either of them in the coming five years.

On that basis alone, he isn’t getting my vote. And I have been saying that for years.

This election is going to be a bloody mess for the GOP. One way or the other, it will be a watershed moment from which the party—as its stood since 1980—will never recover.

I’m one of those. Voted for Trump twice but won’t again. I like Nikki Haley but not Desantis. The “Swammy” guy might be great but his name is a non-starter voter-wise imo. There’s definitely an opening for a Trump alternative.

Hmm...maybe RFK Jr’s the threat to run third party, and “admitting” this hurts Trump more than Biden, is aimed at steering Trump into picking him for VP.

I find it difficult to believe that RFK Jr would take *any* votes from The Big Guy...or whoever Rat Party Headquarters selects. They’ve done a good job painting him as the second most evil creature on earth...after DJT of course.

Trump was between a rock and a hard place because of re-election. He didn’t want to run by not doing anything thinking that the election was going to be honest. So he put the vaxx out.

These are the prospective vote totals for 2024:

Biden: 96,000,000
Trump: 95,999,999
RFK: 94,000,000

So, about 220,000,000 of the 160,000,000 registered voters will vote in the 2024 election.

Yep, Biden is a shoo-in . . .

I can’’t believe Dems will run the obviously senile Biden again. He can barely muster a wan wave. Plus, there’s the horrible spectre of Kamala waiting in the wings.

State by state, it would differ, for electoral wins. In the south, Trump keeps state wins. Biden loses a minimum of 8 states to RFK. All this 3 candidate deal does is make the EC non functional. We’d go to January and a state vote.

I liked JFK in the beginning. After his death and all the garbage that came out about him and his sexual escapades, even in the WH (I.E. great example for another Dimocommie, Slick Willie Klinton), I lost any good feelings I had for the guy. I was most positive for his WWII military service in the PT boats. But his fooling around in the WH with MM was just like Klinton. These people just never seem to learn.

I don’t believe this. Trump’s Base is solid.

Democrats are filled with discharged voters but “orange man bad”.

Yeah, that’s a great reason to suspend our constitutional rights and put a multi-trillion dollar program of deadly deceit and siccing the US military on the American people in motion.
