It seems as though the difficulties of teaching elementary school never end for teachers. Between lesson planning, keeping a group of children together and quiet in the hallways, and dealing with parent complaints, the job is certainly not for the weak.
However, it may be more challenging now than ever as diaper changing is added to many kindergarten teachers' ever-growing list of responsibilities.
Kindergarten teachers are realizing that most of their students were never potty trained. Many teachers are asking themselves, why now?
Up until recently, kindergarten students were fully potty-trained and had been for years, with the exception of the occasional accident. After consulting with parents, teachers were surprised to learn the reasons their children were not potty trained, and why they had no intention of teaching them before they started school.......
However, children reaching the age of five without being potty trained is now becoming a growing trend. Kindergarten teachers reported to We Are Teachers that 15-20% of their classroom is not potty-trained, and even a few first-graders are still in Pull-Ups.......
Some of them blamed it on the new parenting phenomenon “gentle parenting,” where parents hope to foster a healthy relationship with their children by validating their emotions and educating instead of punishing and respecting their individuality and feelings. With gentle parenting, some parents believe that it is harmful to force a child to learn how to use the toilet before they express that they are ready......
Some parents took to the comments section to explain why more and more children were not being taught these simple tasks at home as often as they used to.
“It’s the fact parents have to work two to four jobs to make ends meet and grandparents work as well so there is no one teaching them,” one TikToker commented.

Idiocracy.
Potting training isn’t hard. You just have to be watchful and want to make it happen. Due diligence...aka...parenting.
My heart bleeds. NOT. I’m calling BS on this. Teachers have zero credibility.
Why yes, that's what radical feminism is. The gov't and certain people sold the lie that women can be everything and anything and should be able to join the workforce and "compete" with men.
The gubmint got extra tax revenues, and social Marxists got access to the kids for them to mold and develop into little Stalinists. Win-win!
You couldnt even start school not house broken when I was a kid, nor my kids.
WOW!!!
For decades we have been learning that women are not good at raising kids, or educating them, or anything related to them.
When women have the father with them, then the female portion of parenting is a great asset, but by itself it is a disaster, creating unhealthy, violent, ignorant, and confused neurotic children.
The same lack of male authority is reflected in the institutions dealing with children which are now feminized, like education.
When the parent or parents can’t figure out what sex they are and having kids from idiots that want their kids be whatever they want to be it’s anything but surprising.
Parents are not around to train their kids.
In poorer cultures, kids are often taught by 18 months how to use a toilet because their mothers don’t have time to wait until the child figures it out on their own. They are being trained from day one and forward.
“ I’m calling BS on this. “
Ya, this is probably a conspiracy.
And probably more red diaper babies than ever.
The mother needs her husband to "manage" her and the family.
My niece is a teacher so I get to talk with her and her friends who are in jobs all over the USA.
They all say the same thing - there are more AWOL parents than ever. Everything from parents who simply put their kids in front of a TV/computer all day, to those who leave kids alone often, to those who don’t even feed/bathe their own kids and expect school/gov’t to do it.
Four jobs? How? Not buying it.
This is just one of the many memes that teachers perpetuate to gain sympathy and higher wages. Granted, it’s a new one. It doesn’t add up to me. Diapers are expensive and parents work to get their babies out of diapers as fast as possible. To my knowledge, there are no government programs that pay for diapers and even if diapers are paid by food stamps, these welfare recipients don’t want to spend their food stamps on diapers.
And of course we are talking about, in general.
Hopefully, that will save us from endless pings to the exceptions, including single moms who get on this thread.
They want to be like joe?..
