That doesn’t strike me as hilarious.
It also doesn’t strike me as real.
Why is this not real, Einstein?
Because what cop would resign that way?
The cop isn’t resigning. He’s giving a verbal beatdown and letting the idiot go.
castigate, a verbal tongue lashing...

Every cop who approaches a stopped car touches a taillight. I didn’t see that here.

Also, my eyes aren’t what they used to be. But I saw no reflection of the cop’s emergency lights on the stopped car. On the other hand, the totally unprofessional cop seemed to be genuinely angry. So, yeah. I’ll give it maybe a 10% chance that this is faked.
There is always someone in here who says it’s not real. Never fails.
Faked but what many cops would like to do on a daily basis. They have their own society.
Still I’ll take the blue line side over anarchy.
“Genuinely angry” Karen said that in an earlier post. LOL It’s real. Men talk like that when necessary.
Had a guy in court, and was holding his wrist with the other hand. The judge finally said, “Okay, what do you want me to know about your hand?” He said, “The sergeant broke my hand.” The judge said, “Well, quit fighting with the cops.” That is word for word as spoken.
> LOL It’s real. <
I’d bet good money that you’re right.
> Men talk like that when necessary. <
In this case it was totally unnecessary. The driver didn’t do something insane like trying to take a shot at the pope. This video actually shows why more and more people don’t like the police. We expect professionals to behave in a professional manner.
That sure didn’t happen here.
That’s funny?
Yesterday on Active Self Protection youtube channel I watched a New Mexico cop get blown away for no reason. Regular traffic stop. 28 year old man, had a wife and 4 kids. I so wish I hadn’t of watched that video.
Some cop loses his cool and cusses some wise guy out? Fine by me.
“That’s funny?”
Especially funny was when the cop destroyed the kid’s marijuana. That was claimed to be medical marijuana. The cop said “where is your required medical marijuana container?”
In this case we have a Ken attempting to get a police office in trouble by accusing him of speeding. What he didn’t know was the cop was preparing to pull over a speeder and give them a citation. This Ken got what was coming to him. He’s lucky the cop didn’t give him a ticket. The cop was angry and he shouldn’t have been so verbally abusive, but Ken got off easy.
On my way to work very early one morning I came off the interstate connector that basically ended onto a city street. I was flying. Got pulled over and the cop chewed my ass for five minutes. You think as a grown man I’m going to take that? Durn right I did, because I was guilty as hell. I didn’t say a word, and did not get a ticket.
The cop let you slide because he could see you are a solid citizen on his way to work. Plus cop was coming off his shift and did not want to bother writing you up. You lent him a sympathetic ear, that he appreciated.
I don’t like it.
It is the loss of control I don’t like. I fully understand his anger and frustration, and that dumbass sure did deserve it.
But I don’t like seeing someone who has people’s lives in his hands as his job go off the deep end.
I served on a carrier in the Navy, and I saw the Captain of the vessel become completely unhinged in addressing a serious disciplinary issue. He had spittle on his lips and his eyes were bugging out. It was unnerving to see, especially given that he was in command of a ship with nuclear weapons, and I didn’t like seeing that. Even though I thought the people responsible for the infraction should have been thrown into Portsmouth Naval Prison for 10 years, I didn’t like seeing it.
I don’t mind people showing anger. But when someone goes off the deep end in a professional role, it concerns me. This officer was not in control of himself. Anger is one thing, and I understand that. And I completely sided with what he said to the stopped driver.
That is a dangerous stress, both to him, and to the public. He shouldn’t be on the road dealing with the public.
