An Illinois elementary school teacher has been fired after Libs of TikTok exposed posts they had made on social media worshipping Satan, slamming police, and admitting to suffering from bipolar disorder with mania and psychosis.
Kris Martin's posts went viral, and eventually caused the Homer Community Consolidated School District 33C to take action and terminate the recently hired teacher.
"As you may have heard or seen online, there has been some question and concern with regards to 33C hiring protocol and details surrounding the conditions of hire for new employees," District Superintendent Craig Schoppe wrote in an August 17 statement. He went on to declare that he had launched an investigation into the matter.
Just three days later, the school board held a special meeting and unanimously voted to fire Martin, a decision that garnered cheers from those in attendance.
"I HAVE BI POLAR 1 DISORDER WITH MANIA AND PSYCHOSIS!" Martin wrote in 2018 on Facebook, where they used female pronouns. "This condition has drastically changed my life for better and worse. Because of it, I suffer from irrational thought processes which make my fears and anxieties triple."
"Every day is a battle with my mind to survive and be the best me I can be," Martin continued, adding, "I have done things in conditions of psychosis and mania that have been violent and hurtful. But I am NOT my disease. I am ME! And I know ME. And I LOVE ME!"

Homer Glen's a fairly Conservative village in Will County, IL. (At least it was when I lived there until 5 years ago.)
We (ex-wife and I) knew parents who sent their kids to Homer 33C. They were all VERY involved in everything the schools did. Parental involvement was VERY high, the school board at that time (according to the parents we knew who sent their children there) was very responsive.
That this "individual" was ever hired there in the first place is a bit stunning.

Don't know if they can all be fired, but they damn' sure better be voted out next school board election! They would be if I were still in Homer Glen, that's for damn' sure.
It's a really nice place to live. Kept enough of the 'rural' atmosphere and very family & kid friendly. Can't imagine based on my having lived there 35 years that school board wouldn't be out on their asses first opportunity.
