It doesn’t come as a surprise. The land grabbers won’t let anything stand in their way. That mayor was sketchy from day one. He bumped the town’s emergency fund from $3 million, because nothing much happens there, to $40 million a few months ago.
We know nothing about anyone or anything from that nonsense... just some rambling Tik Tok trash.
The real land grabber here is the State of Hawaii who wants to grab it for their uses, which is why they let it burn to begin with. They just don’t want a bunch of rich investors to swoop in making it then more difficult to grab the land later

Ugh. My MH space landlord decided to sue us all that were burned out to clean up his park and rebuild! FEMA did It for free, but he wanted it NOW. I kept reading that other park owners were helping their tenants. I fell to my knees when I read the letter from his lawyer.
I was paid months ahead on Spectrum, called to shut it off and get a refund. After an hour, they refused to shut off service because I couldn’t provide an account number and sent my account to collection.
Amerigas was another one. I rented their tank, they were responsible for all maintenance. Nope! They sued me.
I used to run a credit bureau, never had a late payment in my life. Never sued! It just crushed me when they all came after me while I was homeless. Finally, Lily Morgan, my state rep got them off my back and asked me to testify in a state hearing, which I did by mail because I was so ill. Medicare advantage refused to cover me outside my county.
That’s what many of these poor Hawaiians have to look forward to. People think you have insurance money and they want it!
The fire itself, losing everything, isn’t the worst part. Try the humiliation of having NO PAPERS.
When the fire was declared out of control there should have been a dozen cargo planes loaded with National Guardsmen and anoher doezen cargo 747’x loaded with water and food stuffs in the air. In Hawaii there should have been dozens of boats to shuttle supplies to and around Maui. What the hell are the Dems thinking of over there???????? They did not set off the alarms.

Meanwhile— 10 months after a total destruction by Hurrican Ian.. Fort Myers Beach, FL and Fort Myers (many more people) have barely gotten back on their feet (houses flattened completely, businesses flattened)— trying to rebuild now under NEW regulations that did not apply to their existing 20 year plus old homes and business structures. At least the State is not trying to move in on them and take their property as Hawaii is clearly trying to do— absolute buzzards, and criminal government (including the idiot JoeBama sending... $700 a “family”.. what the hell?

Yes taxpayer money spent for incompetent preparation. Now the state and rich people want to fight over buying up the land. The residence, if they’re still alive, need to catch the next flight or ship out of there.
