I have never even heard of TwitchTV.
“I have never even heard of TwitchTV.”
You will now...
Nope. Never use debit cards. Not as much protection as credit cards.
Sister channel to Twerk?
Gamer site, mostly.
If no one close to you is a gamer, probably just a straightforward scam.
twitchtv is a streaming site, where people can watch movies, shows, etc.
I’m not sure why they would pull hundreds of dollars, though, unless they were pulling the money from your account, then landering the money through twitch.
Call you bank’s fraud department, then I think you still need to call the credit reporting agencies yourself, and request a lock on any new credit, because you’ve been a victim of fraud.
The only time I’ve used my debit card is at the ATM twice a month to withdraw funds that have been direct deposited from my monthly Social Security payment.
I only use debit cards at ATMs and Post Offices.
I use twitch and pay for nothing on it....they have a pay component but I don’t use it as I get 1 free sub with my amazon prime membership and only watch one channel.
Anyone in the family that enjoys video gaming or role playing games? That tends to be the majority of what is available on the site.
Gamer (mostly) live streaming site owned/run by Amazon. You have kids/others with access to your Amazon account credentials? ($11.99/mo. for “Twitch Turbo”)

I make sure to lock my debit card until just before I use it then re-lock right after. Credit cards are much safer -and they can be locked too.
Have a kid? Probably supporting a streamer
It is a legit channel and, I believe it promotes video games. I would check with any teens in your house and ask them some tough questions.
I used to work at Ma Bell in the 90s and we’d get customers complaining about one-minute long distance charges to New York City. Turns out there were nudie magazines back then that would advertise “Free” phone numbers where a woman would talk dirty to you for 40 seconds. Then they would say “If you want to hear more from Wanda, call THIS number free...”
Well, the free meant they didn’t ask for a credit card number before getting explicit but the call to the non-toll-free number was not free. Teens would call these thinking Mom and Dad will never know. Yet it stood out on the bill when page after page after page of one-minute calls were on the long distance bill (old term, sorry).
I’d suggest to talk it over with their teenaged kids and it was always the explanation.
Which TV? Better switch TV.
common practice of Xfinity is to raid bank accounts as regular monthly withdrawls for alleged service where niether the person who allegedly arranged the withdrawl nor the person who owns the bank account live. Often the place of alleged service in vacant and no TV or computer there at all.
I know of Twitch, which is a live streaming site. My oldest son uses it to do live gaming streams. Not sure if TwitchTV is a part of it, like YouTubeTV is a part of YouTube.
Have you purchased crotchless underdinkys ?if so you get put on the list
Call your bank to report the fraud. If this was on a Visa, AMEX or Mastercard debit card and a PIN was not used you will be refunded your money. They all offer fraud protection on charges with no PIN. Have your bank issue you a new Debit card. Good Luck. I had this happen to me on a checking account 30 years ago and no one believed me that it wasn’t my signature on the checks until a hand writing expert for the bank confirmed it wasn’t me that wrote the checks. Back then this happening was very rare so I had to go through a lot of BS until it was proven I was innocent and it wasn’t me writing the bad checks.
I haven’t had that much taken out. Usually it is a small amount several times to stuff like Netflix, Uber, Door Dash, and other things people would overlook as just another subscription fee. I had gone through about 6 credit cards in 6 months before it finally got under control.
ALWAYS check every transaction.
“Has Anyone Had Hundreds of Dollars of Unauthorized charges Debited From Their Bank Accounts From TwitchTV?”
No but I have hundreds debited every month by a bunch of gonefs called Comcast.
