Brigham Young, born on June 1, 18o1, lead his people to find a safe place for themselves in the Salt Lake Vally and found Salt Lake City.
He said: "Education is the power to think clearly, the power to act well in the world's work, and the power to appreciate life."
"The biggest labor problem is tomorrow."
"Nature is the glass reflecting God, as by the sea reflected is the sun, too glorious to be gazed on in his sphere."
God Bless Brigham Young

Jim Caviezel was on the War Room with Steve Bannon talking about his new movie, Sound of Freedom (https://angel.com/freedom). Apparently there are Mormons involved with Angel Studios and there have been the usual questions of whether Mormons are Christians. To answer this question Jim retold the Parable of the Good Samaritan with the role of the Samaritan played by a Mormon. Just a reminder to check for the beam in ones own eye.

Please don’t praise the Mormon Church. Tell us about Joseph Smith’s 43 wives and the planet Kolob, ok?

I think one of many wives did.
Or maybe he got the pattern from the golden plates that are really just parts of the Egyptian book of the dead - how to make a mummy.
It did didn’t come the parts of the KJV Bible, or the bits from Shakespeare or the novel he plagiarized.
Brigham young was the greatest con man of all time. Only L.Ron Hubbard is even close to being his peer

You mean the inner clothing that some wear as a sign of temple of covenants made to God? It would be wonderful though if there was a magic hat... then you could put it on and actually have a brain.

Is this guy Bringem Young the patron saint of the drag queen story hour crowd?
To: laweeks
The “Mormon Church” produces on average the most faithful servants of God this world knows.

**Brigham young was the greatest con man of all time.**
Maybe a tie with Smith. But Mohamhead has them beat. So many want to have the impact on the world that Jesus Christ himself had and still has. So they come along declaring themselves to be the latest or last prophet of God. And that seems to require carefully thought out writings to give them cred with the ignorant.

Perhaps Karl Marx belongs in the group as well?

If you eat too much bread it WILL turn into flesh. Trust me on this.

Which god? Of which planet?
Mormonism believes in the existence of a plurality of gods. According to Mormonism, there are an infinite number of planets like earth in the universe, each with their god or gods who were once men who have evolved into godhood. Mormon theologian and Apostle Bruce McConkie states, “[A] plurality of gods exist … there is an infinite number of holy personages, drawn from worlds without number, who have passed on to exaltation and are thus gods.”
Joseph Smith wrote, “In the beginning, the head of the gods called a council of the gods; and they came together and concocted a plan to create the world and (the) people in it.”
Mormon practice is called henotheism, a form of polytheism that stresses a central deity.

I don’t know. Did Marx have multiple wives?
It’s no wonder to me that people in west central IL didn’t want Smith and his merry philanderers around; besides his sin of adding to the Word of God.

Like Joey Smith's magic hat he used to "interpret" The Book of Mormon?

Yes. And tell us bread magically turning into flesh
That is Roman Catholic teaching, not historical Christianity.
