A dog in Nashville, Tennessee had to return home alone after his owner was killed in a hit-and-run, according to Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD). The dog named Patch and his 50-year-old visually impaired owner were on a walk on March 22 in the 200 block of Rio Vista Drive when the driver of a Ford F150 struck the owner.

Sad, but if no family had the wherewithal to take care of him, I suppose it had to be... I sure hope he finds a wonderful home after training, or today even, ASAP.

Sad that nobody in the family would claim the dog. Maybe they’re just heartless.

Maybe he did but was chased away by emergency response personnel. As a daily dogwalker having to traverse several heavily trafficked streets with our two hounds, I’m amazed there aren’t more hit and runs like this in the news. You and your dogs’ lives aren’t worth a plug nickel in public the way cars are being driven today.
Or maybe no one had the means to care for the dog.
