A female stray dog in Oklahoma ran up to a parking lot and begged a woman she saw to follow her. When the woman, Mitzi Brogdon, approached the dog, she was surprised by how friendly she was. Brogdon said the stray pup, later named Dolly, came right up to her and allowed her to pet it. However, it soon became apparent that Dolly needed more than petting, as she was seemingly begging Brogdon to follow her down a path off the road. After Dolly began walking up the path to the cell tower, Brogdon followed her. To her surprise, Brogdon saw many puppies spilling out from behind a fallen log.

Is there any particular reason why you don’t include the whole article instead of just the first paragraph? You do this for every Pet Zealot article. I don’t think you need to excerpt them. It makes it appear as click bait. You know, just trying to get clicks on a blog. Is it yours?
Thanks! We Needed This Story at This time.
Wonderful story!
On the other hand a person could be a cynic and say a democratic dog led her to her brood as she needed to get free food to feed her children.
I expect flak from this but let it be known that I am a dog person that would never turn away a hungry dog. We take in Rescues.
Thanks. This is far from the only account here that unnecessarily excerpts stuff in a clickbaity way.
Good story for a Tuesday morning.
Some of us remember the days when Free Republic was sued for printing stories from other sites. We got into the habit of posting only the beginning of the story.
I don’t mind going to other sites to finish the story. How else are we to find new sites? It’s exactly how I found Free Republic.
Oh great!!!
Another blog pimp.
Why not post the whole article right here?
Is there any particular reason you don’t believe the writer of an article deserves traffic for it?
I click on specific sites just to give them traffic for monetization.
Red State is my best example. Their articles are fully posted on FR. Yet I click on their site to read it, then return to FR for the comments.

The new face of Humblegunner.
Ignore the whiners.
Great article thanks for posting!
Nope. I have that one claimed!
Oh, I realize that there are more. This user posts several articles every day, just like this. When I’ve clicked, there is usually only another small paragraph (or maybe two) when I get there. Sure, they are feel good stories, and yes, we need those, but the point is that the whole piece can be posted on FR without the need to go to the link.
Dogs rule, they just do.
Humblegunner does this to everyone. This is the first time I’ve mentioned it, and I did it after I saw someone else call it clickbait. Then I checked the posting history, and it was pretty much like that.
No worries. I won’t mention it again.
Why do you care?
I also go to the other sites to finish a story. My problem with this one, and to tell you the truth, I didn’t click the link this time, because the last few times I’ve clicked the link, there was only a tiny bit of information that was left off. Like sometimes a sentence, or sometimes one more paragraph. That can get annoying if it’s done frequently, and to me, that appears to be the case here.
But sorry that I have offended so many here.
I do, too, and I have no problem with that most of the time. This one just started rubbing me the wrong way.
