A remarkable video out of Utah shows what appears to be a sizeable creature crossing the peak of a snow-covered mountain with ease and some suspect that the peculiar traveler could be Bigfoot. The wild footage was reportedly captured last Wednesday by a witness who was observing the Wasatch Mountain range from the nearby community of Farmington. To his surprise, he noticed and something moving across the mountain's Francis Peak at an elevation of around 9,500 feet, where the terrain was covered with a thick layer of snow, and proceeded to film the strange scene with his cell phone.
While the distance from which the witness captured the footage makes it difficult to discern what the anomaly could be, the manner in which it moves suggests that it is particularly adept at maneuvering through the treacherous terrain. In the video, showcased above, the dark object can be seen at the bottom of the screen as it swiftly travels up the side of the mountain. Adding another layer of intrigue to the sighting is that, shortly after it was posted online by the Rocky Mountain Sasquatch Organization, a curious helicopter pilot actually flew over the area where the suspected Sasquatch was filmed.
Amazingly, their footage shows a series of sizeable single file tracks that look like they were left behind by large creature as it was walking or running in the snow. Given the isolated area where the anomalous creature was filmed and the speed with which it moved

I like watching Les Stroud (”Survivorman”). After an incident in Alaska and then later conversations hearing about Bigfoot, he thought that may have been what he had heard.
He went on a quest (and filming it) with various Bigfoot hunters, etc. Taking them each with a grain of salt, but keeping an open mind.
Various folks had told him that somehow Bigfoot could detect the technology (I guess other animals can sense the infrared in game trail cameras, etc.). So he and another guy spent the night in a “hotspot for Bigfoot” and spent the night around a camp fire with no electronics, no cameras, etc.
“Yeah I know - but I’ll relate everything that happens, or doesn’t happen. And you’ll just have to trust me. And hopefully for those of you that have been watching me all these years can take my word on it.”
He said they heard a large animal walking in the dark woods - bi-pedal. Not a moose, bear, etc. for several minutes as it circled around their campfire, just outside the light. Later on there were one or two red(?) orbs of light that remained just off in the woods beyond the campfire light that iirc lasted for tens of minutes.
I think it is an elk too. Impressive whatever it is to run through deep snow and cover that amount of territory.

I live in Utah along the Wasatch Front. My opinion is that the tracks are the result of a backcountry trek by a human wearing “Verts”. VERTS are a type of footwear that keeps you on the surface of the snow like snowshoes but make an distinctive toe impression like those seen in the video. This would also explain the large size of the imprint compared to the relatively short human sized stride.
The movement across the mountainside could be the flight of a large bird like the golden eagle. The “shadow” could be the second or back wing. It could have been filmed in a speed that skips the wing beat so that we are only seeing the glide. JMHO

Cumberland Gap Cave.
A correspondent, A. L. S., says in reference to this remarkable formation, described in our issue of September 13, that, after General Morgan's retreat from that spot, the cave was explored for a distance of four miles by Confederate soldiers, and a new opening was discoverd (sic), three miles from the one mentioned by H. B. N. The place has never been thoroughly investigated, but chambers, far surpassing in grandeur that described by our earler (sic) correspondent, have been found. In penetrating the rock, it is found that the new entrance leads for 6,000 yards through sandstone;d in an (sic [and in]) this section of the cave, vast quantities of human bones of gigantic size were found, some skulls being large enough to put on over a man's head (bold added). It is intended, during the current month, to throughly (sic) explore the cave.-Scientific American.
Correction ... more likely 1862 or 1863, following General Morgan's retreat on September 17, 1862. I suppose the Scientific American article could have been anytime between 1863 to September 1873.
