Two years ago today, Kathryn Adams Limbaugh went on the air to announce that America's Anchorman, the Mayor of Realville, the Doctor of Democracy, the harmless little fuzzball, her husband, the great Rush Hudson Limbaugh III, had assumed room temperature.
(That means he died, for those of you in Rio Linda.)
America is worse off for his absence. Nobody will ever amass the audience, have the influence, or have as much fun doing it as Rush did. There is no one like him, though many try.

Rush was the last vestige of the conservative movement. No one can take his place, and no current radio host can attract an audience with a pulse.
Mark Steyn had a memorial show for Rush today.
I suspect it’s up on Steynonline.
He was essential. I’ll always treasure something he did on one of his last broadcasts....he did one last John McCain impression...the one that had me practically in tears every time. Those who know, know the impression. I treasure it because McCain was long put of the news so it was very random. Or was it?
Rush sure went out on top. He was so on his game right to the last. Miss him dearly.
A clip from Rush’s show near the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aMNHUeDBHE
Rush’s best shows were when he first started and used the unused add time for parody…
Anyone remember when the guy from Chicago called with the alligator in the basement or the guy from the high plains of New Mexico that made tacos out of dogs that tourist lost..
May God bless you eternally, Rush! You’re very much missed.
This is a favorite of mine, though poor picture quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCjQ3SLh374
Good in case someone has a particular date in mine - like after X won or lost an election:

So many days, at 0900 (my west coast time), I think to myself, “Rush is coming on in 6 minutes after the local news, I need to turn the radio on....”.
And he’s not there.
And so many days I wonder what the last two+ years would be with his voice and reason, keeping the Bidenistas in check.
He is missed in this old man’s life.
I miss him everyday.
Mick from the high mountains of New Mexico.
One of my favorite callers.
Steyn and the late Walter E. Williams were my favorite Rush fill-ins.
I do the same.
I always worked in buildings that blocked a.m. radio, so I’d listen when I went out for lunch or if I was travelling.
Whenever I’m in the car and notice it’s just before noon, I always get that urge to turn on Rush.
And then I remember, once again, that he’s gone. Sucks every time.
Thank you.
A few can, but nowhere near the audience Rush had.
I wonder what he’d have thought of the 2020 election, Mayor Pete Buttplug, the Chinese balloons, and Fettermoron. Clay and Buck are okay, but it isn’t must listen radio.
Clay and Buck are good.
He’s not popular here, but Glenn Beck is quite good.
Dennis Prager is good.
Mark Levin is excellent.
There are many fine local hosts.
None of them is Rush, but they’ll have to do.
He would have had so much fun with Joe Stupid and Que Mala Kneepads.
