Modern PC crap attacks every aspect of normal life.
Religion is mocked and Christians are persecuted.
We hear that children are exposed to gender fluidity ideologies which can persuade them to "choose" genital mutilation and parents who oppose that can be threatened with jail.
Heterosexuality can be a criminal offence if you are a man.
John Barrymore had a hard and troubled personal life but being a free man was not closed to him.
Women would melt in his arms.
God Bless Freedom ..........
....... but for most of us, Family Comes First.
He was good in “Dinner at Eight”. His brother was in it as well. Jean Harlow was a hoot.
Women would melt in his arms?
That’s sexist.
How would Drew Barrymore feel about that in this woke world?

You might be right, by my preferred word for “sexist” is the less judgmental “heterosexual”.
I hope that does not offend anyone here.
> How would Drew Barrymore feel about that in this woke world? <
I’d bet that Drew is kinda woke herself. It’s like a disease. When you’re around uber-woke Hollywood people long enough, it rubs off on you.
But I will say this. I enjoy watching Drew on TV. If I could describe her in one word, it would be “pleasant”. She just seems to be a really nice person, the kind of person you’d want as your next-door neighbor. I wish her well.
Nah.
Give me Gregory Peck.
Gregory Pecks grandson plays Spock on the new Star Trek series, Strange New Worlds. He’s good.
His name is Ethan Peck.
John Barrymore? Mr. Potter’s son?
Mr. Potter’s brothers. Ethel’s brother, too.
Barrymore and Errol Flynn were buddies from what I understand. They partied pretty hard. Flynn is one of my all-time favorite actors.
John Barrymore was a monumental drunk. The Barrymores except for Lionel were and are a troubled family.
Splendid film.
I seem to recall a wake was thrown for him by his friends... with the guest of honor in attendance! His friends stole the body from a funeral home.
CC
Sorry, doesn’t do it for me.
Now a young Dolph Lundgren...brilliant, built, and beautiful...
Too bad for him I’m a happily married woman.

Kitty : I was reading a book the other day.
Carlotta : [Nearly trips] Reading a book?
Kitty : Yes. It’s all about civilization or something. A nutty kind of a book. Do you know that the guy says that machinery is going to take the place of every profession?
Carlotta : [Looking her over] Oh, my dear, that’s something you need never worry about.
She is really good in a Netflix series called “The Santa Clarita Diet”.
I found that show to be pretty amusing piece of fluff.
