What, you never heard the expression, "Sins of the fathers?" That's every bit as stupid as saying the descendants of the slave owners have to pay reparations. No matter how much they supported the practice, I very much doubt the Democrat party itself ever owned a single slave.

The one thing that always goes unsaid in all these stories about which institutions are responsible for slave reparations, and which statues should be torn down, or which names should be removed from public buildings, is the role that the Democratic Party had in defending slavery and then single-handedly implementing slavery-lite (aka Jim Crow and segregation). Make the Dem Party pay slave reparations. Remove the names of all Dems politicians who were in office prior to 1960 from any public building or monument. The Dem Party always has been and always will be the Party of Race Hatred. In the old days, it was race hatred against blacks. Now, its race hatred against whites. In both cases, its to maintain their power.
